DJ Hayden is probably going much higher than that and his "meteoric rise" is proof that most of these draft analysts everyone pays attention to either don't watch as much tape as they claim or don't know shyt about evaluating talent without being tipped off by coaches. This is a dude that has plenty of film of him beasting but "his stock rose" because of a fast (not even exceptionally fast) 40 time after being medically cleared.

And while I'm at it I'm going to call my shot and have the Jets taking him at 13. Lot of smoke about the Jets interest in him around here. Rex and other members of their staff came down to watch him work out the day after trading Revis. Also, back in the fall a UH writer mentioned overhearing a convo between two Jets scouts who were watching DJ play before he got hurt. I want to say it was the UTEP game that he had a couple picks including one he took about 90 yards to the house. He said he knew they came to watch DJ because they kept talking about him all game discussing what he was doing. When they left in the 3rd quarter he mentioned one scout said to the other something about wanting to stick around and see if "their guy" gets pick number 3.

Not sure what the Jets' top needs are but don't get blindsided if this happens. I can already see the crowd booing the pick lol.

so apparently Buffalo actually likes Barkley more than Nassib? Probably legit, but also could be a smoke screen that prevents some team from jumping in front of them to snatch Nassib. Who really knows at this point.

Ya, Rapsheet was just saying on NFLnet, that the Bills will take Barkley in the second, if they do not trade back into the first round for Nassib. Saying the Jags will take Nassib at 33 if he makes it out of the first round.

Who really knows tho.

houston.
Every mock I've seen has the Texans taking a WR

So that means we'll get a defensive player.....again :beli:

Hayden's rise had much less to do with his combine than it did him getting medical clearance. Teams were shying away after that freak injury, but once he was medically cleared going forward, everyone could breathe a sigh of relief and evaluate him as is as opposed to red flagging him as an injury risk.

The more I think about it, I think the "Bills are in love with Barkley" thing might just be a smokescreen. They're probably gonna pick Nassib at 8 and don't want anyone to trade in front of them for him.

With buzz about the Fins looking to trade Bess (possibly to the Browns), I think it lends credence to the idea of them targeting Austin or Eifert at 12.

I just want the Cowboys to make a good choice since it seems like a very talented player will fall to them.

we just lost wallace, harrison, mendenhall, lewis, and hampton and our defense and corners are :flabbynsick: we already have arguably a top 5 tight end and this clown thinks were going to draft another tight end :what:

:wow:

If you exclude Geno Smith(which might be possible), there's ZERO QB's, WR, RB's, TE's, taken in the top 15.

That's gotta be a first if it happens
