Melo, D-Rose, Dwight and Porzingis...

This has disaster written all over it. Everything about those 3 are clashing, clashing ego's, clashing personalities, clashing agendas, clashing health, clashing playing styles. This whole situation feels similar to the 12 Lakers and 13 Nets, superteams being put together that look great on paper or sound fun to play with on 2K but with no certainty of good chemistry or prime performances from their key guys

Even so, this team wouldn't beat Cleveland big 3 and that's the whole point, seeing as how now Phil wanna win ASAP instead of slow rebuild

Talent wise they're not near the Cavs. At all. Unless we're transporting back to 2011 or something. Plus no shooters.

I think their starting 5 matches the starting 5 of the Cavs very well. Rose on Irving. Melo on Bron. Porzingis on TT/Mozgov/Love. Howard on Love/TT. As far as outside shooting Melo and Porzingis can make outside shots. So I'd put Melo on the wing. Porzingis on the block. And have Rose run pick and rolls with Howard. Like I said dudes would have to be bought in and healthy, but on paper they can win some their matchups imo. Do I think the Knicks will make some noise in the East? Not really bc Rose always gets injured and they've lost some of their talent through the trade.

Yeah they have a safety net with his expiring, but they're hoping he can get back to prime form so him + Melo + ? + KP can contend. If they're interested in signing Dwight or another perennial all-star they're obviously aiming towards a big 3/superteam

Dwight can't be on the floor at the same time as porzingis. Tried that in Houston with Capella and other paint cloggers and he looks lost when there's an additional helping defender in the key.

Yes they can Prozingis has the ability to spread the floor and play on the perimeter

he was coming off back surgery
he was playing with Kobe Bryant still the face of the franchise & previously diss dwight by telling him he could be the 3rd option / Tyson Chandler
the uncertainty about coaching and how they want to run the offense thru Nash thru Kobe after fiting 5 games in - the finally hired the worst coach for there talent Mike D' toni who dosnt care about bigman (see Pau aswell) and wants to run run run with his 7second offense which wasnt suited for a aging Kobe
