:what: So u gonna compare Cleveland fukkin Ohio's nightlife to New York City my nikka?. Seriously?

Like I said he got caught up in the atmosphere and arguably on the high end in NY. But to say there is nothing to do in terms of drinking & chilling in Cleveland is BS.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
What's retarded about saying melo, the superstar doesn't do a good enough job of making his teammates better?
nikka what could Melo have done for them grown ass men?..JR had his BEST season with Melo..JR went to the WCF with Melo. JR CHOSE to go out partying and he CHOSE to stink it up when the team needed him most..Shumpert came in as an underdeveloped rookie my nikka..who Melo tried to help and saved from gettin booted out. Lets not forget he got an injury. fukk could Melo have done for these nikkas?. shyt. When Melo was tryna bark on them nikkas and do the tough love shyt. He got criticized for it as well. While Bron or any other superstar gets praised for doin the same shyt. The facts are them nikkas fukked it up for themselves in New York by not being disciplined. And even with that being said. JR achieved alot with Melo. So all this shyt is just retarded.

Don't really get why people are on Melo right now. Like no shyt he's nowhere remotely close to the impact player that a top 10 all time legend LBJ is. Still one of the premier offensive anchors in the league. Aside from this year where he was injured the Knicks have featured very potent offensive lineups when he's on the floor especially in 2013 where they ranked 3rd overall and Iman missed damn near 40 games to injury. This years Knicks wasn't a team built to suceed. Where is the Timofey Mozgov and Tristian Thompson on that roster. Their most used lineup with Melo was Jose-Galloway-Melo-Amundson-Jason Smith. Like come tf on what did you expect to happen

I don't mind giving LeBron credit and respect. But at some point we gotta stop undervaluing the obviously solid talent around him. I'm the furthest from a Knicks/Melo fan(Heat fan) but put Mosgov, Thompson, WITH Shumpert and JR, and Melo will at least get them to the Eastern Conference Finals. At least. Then you add Kyrie getting 16 last night. Are folks gonna forget how mediocre this Cavs team was before they acquired JR Smith, Shumpert, and Mosgov?

You do realize that he had Shump and JR along with Tyson Chandler last year and didn't make the playoffs right? Lemme guess a Tristan Thompson level player was the difference right? :mjlol: I'm sure you were extolling the virtues of all these players prior to the playoffs right? You were saying that if Love goes down and Kyrie gets hurt the Cavs will be just fine right?:comeon:. The man gets the credit and the blame. People only seem to take issue with this when it's a guy the don't like getting the credit or a guy they do like getting the blame.

You're full of shyt with this constant conspiracy theory. JR & Dolan were golfing buddies, if it was up to Dolan, you think he would've traded JR? Cut the shyt, guy.

It's Dolans team, that's a fact.

He also won 50 games with those guys and got to the Western Conference Finals with one of them. I don't know you guys want. You want us to give LBJ props for shouldering the load and taking bums to the finals. But then claim the bums he's surrounded with are better than anything Miami could've surrounded him with had he stayed. But then give credit to LBJ for being a great GM for bringing them in, but will probably be removing all blame from LBJ if said bums don't produce in the Finals. I've already conceded to LBJ possibly being top 3 all time. JR in his own words said he's more focused on bball in Cleveland than he was in NY. Again, who's fault is that? I don't know what you guys are asking for.

may as well just have gone with "someone at the sports bar said..."
Stephen A actually knows what he's talking about when it comes to the NBA, like someone else said in another thread SAS was the only person to know about Doc going to the Clippers and Skip laughed at him...:sas2:

Why would it not be to his credit? Well who hasn't been keeping it 100 in this thread.

1. JR Smith himself admitted he was lollygaggin in NYC. Cleveland has less distractions(in his own words)

2. Melo lead JR Smith and the Nuggets to the Western Conference Finals in previous years

3. Melo lead the Knicks to a 50 win season in prior seasons.

4. Most of the Melo defenders have readily admitted that LBJ>Melo by a trillion light years. Most of them are just saying it isn't as Black and White as "play with Melo=never progress as player, play with LeBron=progress as a player". There were other mitigating circumstances that led to what we're seeing today. Shumpert missed like 40 games(was it 2013, or 2014?) iono.

5. It's the bored trolls who keep making these threads. These are the same trolls who'll make the "LBJ is 2-3 in the Finals LOL" threads.

Keep making threads about what's been known since 2004 brehs to boost LeBron even further(Bron>Melo). I'm gonna go make another Wade vs Iverson thread.

So how are the last two years not on him then?

I guess he didn't give JR enough whoopings? JRs shenanigans were nightly Twitter fodder. You remember how wild that team was. I don't mind putting that on him. Melo doesn't have the leadership qualities LBJ has. But I'm not gonna roll with the "Nobody believed in us until we got to Cleveland" narrative people are drawing up for JR and Shumpert. Especially considering JR has had success playing alongside Melo. I think Windhorst reported that his numbers aren't drastically changed on this Cleveland squad than they were when he was on NY. That's the power LBJ has, Windhorst said. He changes perception.
