Should he be in the league, yes, have their been players with talent not be able to make rosters yes. AI still could play, Marburu could still play. He could not really fit on a playoff team but they don’t have spots yet, he’ll be signed

Yet here you are. :francis:
Yeah. I post in the Seum daily. I’ve pretty much never said anything about Melo until this thread. He doesn’t interest me as a player. He’s obviously not blackballed. He’s just bad.

nikkas in the Seum do not actually WATCH BASKETBALL so of course they don’t understand that.

There are plenty of worse players in the league earning more money than Melo requires or recently signed for a similar deal.

Jared Dudley just got signed. That's why this is even a conversation.

Honestly I'm still looking for the angle. Of all players why would Melo be blackballed? What did he do exactly?:patrice:

Did this dude fukk one of the owner's wives or something? Hard to believe Jared Dudley is on a roster and Melo isnt

As usual, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

It's possible that he can be inflexible about minutes and locale as well as being "blackballed" by contending franchises. Find it hard to believe that a moribund franchise like Orlando or Charlotte wouldn't bring him in as a 20 mpg bench scoring option and to sell some tickets.

Dudley plays team basketball and is a great locker room guy. Melo has never been said to be either. What team could Melo improve right now?

Good locker room guy? :mjpls:

You've moved a long way from he's not a good enough to play in the league. :mjpls:

Melo was never a true superstar despite having the natural talent to be one. He never diversified his game, he was a great scorer in the half court but he wasn’t great at anything else.

He’s likely gonna be the odd man out of the great small forwards in his era. Paul Pierce, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, and possibly Paul George all have an MVP of some sort, won a title, or in PG’s case, have a chance at winning before it’s all said and done.

All aforementioned players added certain wrinkles and nuances to their game that enabled them to advance to greater heights. This all probably wouldn’t be a discussion if Melo was drafted by the Pistons like he should’ve been, or if he had the foresight to not sign his extension so he coulda been part of a big 3 in Miami. It’s a shame

Tiger. Kobe. MJ. Jerry Rice. Lebron. Brady. The goats have legendary training programs and diets that they adhere to to get a little extra edge over the competition. In their prime, it makes them insanely better than the competition so they become stuff of legend. When they get older, it allows them to still be great and perform with their god given talent, when old age has robbed them
Of their agility and dexterity. It’s why Brady is still
Winning at 42 and tiger just won the masters.

Melo: all the god given talent in the world,
Smooth as silk on the court, lethal first step, had it all. But you can tell by his body composition He never gave a fukk about working for it. Don’t get me wrong, he no doubt worked on his GAME, but nothing extra. He never shook his head no when the blunt came around, and you can tell.

I love the player and I loved those nuggets teams, but it’s
Over.
