This idea that can you can win a championship with one superstar is so stupid. I don't give a damn if it happened organically through free agency or the draft. No team in the league winning a chip without three superstars on their roster period.

When I saw this pic, the 1st thing that came to mind is when some dude either on here on the :hamster: said that the Lakers tried to create a Larry Holmes Voltron :russ:

Y'all are extremely far too liberal with the term "superstar"

great/elite player =/= superstar

at most, there are only 3 Superstars currently in the NBA... and one of them is done after this season.

Let's be real, this only extended to the super friends (who happen to be big names...wade, paul, melo, Bron), but the rest of the league ain't on this shyt. Durante ain't begging to play with more help, westbrook, harden, wall, etc ain't bff'ing it up

It's really disgusting to see so called competitors/rivals who are so buddy buddy with each other.

But when Boogie did this? :banderas:

People have different understandings of this thread. We all can agree that most championship teams have 2 or more stars, what Melo is expressing comes off totally different. He's talking about players purposely wanting to join up a form a super team, totally different than what most championship teams have done.

Who has done that except Miami?

The league has always been this way and you're an uneducated fakkit that doesn't know the history of the league if you think otherwise. Or you just like letting management dictate how a star's career should go when you wouldn't allow that to happen in your own life. Still a fakkit just like OP tho :ehh:

That's it you can't have free agency and you can't be allowed to finish your contract like a normal person.....

Your are locked to the team you are drafted to no matter how bad the front office is and your locked to your first coach no matter what.

You can't get no free agents to come to your team and your supposed to win a title with no good players around you.

Even tho In the 80's and 90's they was diffent rules and way less teams so the talent was not spread as thin as it is (no thunder, pelicans, raptors ,magic, etc....) where would boogie,Ad,etc... Would have went? Smh

Corner of 125th
They were all brought in via draft and or trades, nobody struggled for years just to sign with their buddies to win one.

MJ never signed with the Bad Boys after all those Ls:mjcry:

Y'all can spin it however you want but there's a difference between these stars, legends etc. growing with HOF teammates over the year as opposed to signing with them via free agency. It's a different era for sure.

Exactly..... bird had McHale and Parrish because they was drafted

Kareem was a Laker all ready and Lakers drafted magic, drafted worthy, traded norm nixon for byron Scott

U didn't see all stars with 5 years already in the league running to play with Jordan , bird and magic

Coli logic

Only role players are allowed to leave their team in free agency. And if a star player does it, he HAS to go to a team that doesn't have another top 100 player on it.
:russ::francis:Yup that's the coli way..... Unless they go stack up on the lakers some how that's ok .... We all remember those get it done Mitch pics with durant Westbrook Lebron melo gasol etc.... All taking 2 dollars a year with Phil coaching and Kobe taking all the shots ..... That was somehow gonna be ok :scust:
