:what:

So what the hell is a player in Melo's position supposed to do?

Everybody can't be lucky enough to have an amazing front office and coach.

Yall dudes stay romantising the 80/90's yet shyt on certain players for never winning rings.

As if taking THEIR career in their own hands is a bad thing.

Melo has CARRIED NUMEROUS shytty teams but never once played for a TRUE contender, and as much as people want to call him a loser or fat the FACT is he's NEVER had a good front office.

Who has he ever played with???
Out his prime AI, Jeremy Lin:mjlol:......

I wish one of my favorite players of all time Dominique Wilkens would have bounced from the Hawks sooner to go to a Contender. Then maybe he would be higher in the ranks like he SHOULD BE!!!

Instead of CARRYING the Hawks to an eventual loss while giving Bird AND THE REST OF HIS HOF TEAMMATES THE BUSINESS.

Year after year.

WE NEED MORE VOLTRONS...MOST GM's ARE SHYTTY fukk em.

What are you taking about? Melo had his chance to form a Voltron, he decided money was more important. What are you missing?

Prime Kobe & Duncan on the same team wouldn't have been a super team? Kobe in Phoenix with Nash & prime Amare wouldn't have been a super team?

And I said that everyone wants to play with other great players. That's practically a fact. I used Kobe as an example:yeshrug:
No Tim and Kobe wouldn't have been a super team. The Suns wouldn't been able to keep Nash and Stat and get Kobe, are you serious. Anyway all of that is what if, let's deal with facts and what actually happened.

He made NY make the trade so he could get MAX money and depleted the roster. Melo had the option to leave and sign with a contender. He chose MONEY! He could've signed deals like LeCocksucker, but he chose LONG TERM contract. He put himself in this position.

So arguably two top 5 players all time, on the same team, still in their primes wouldn't have been a super team.

Ok :ehh:

Put young Kobe on any team and they'd have more success. You're not saying much.

The Suns were perennial contenders that went to multiple WCF's, that's not just any team

But whatever, how good they would've been is a completely different conversation

People have different understandings of this thread. We all can agree that most championship teams have 2 or more stars, what Melo is expressing comes off totally different. He's talking about players purposely wanting to join up a form a super team, totally different than what most championship teams have done.

Thanks.

The Warriors play as a team. Obviously Curry helps, but his willingness to play off the ball and other guys willing to play within their defined roles helps tremendously as well.

The Warriors were CONSTRUCTED and COACHED to play as the team we see now.

Had Steve Kerr not gone to GS they would likely still be the perpetual second round exit team they were before he got there and Steph would be looked at as a good player but NOT a GOAT calibre player.

Kerr taught him how to move more, Jackson was under utilizing him.

The jump they made in one year is amazing, but the foundation was laid by a great FO. Then put over the top by a great coach and basketball mind.

Every player CAN NOT be so fortunate.

Is it oochi wally or one mic?

Yall clown players for losing on shytty teams they chose to stay with.

But if he would have ran to play with other superstars he would be a new generational bytch.

I agree he made his decision. But that doesn't make his point any less REAL.

They were all brought in via draft and or trades, nobody struggled for years just to sign with their buddies to win one.

MJ never signed with the Bad Boys after all those Ls:mjcry:

Y'all can spin it however you want but there's a difference between these stars, legends etc. growing with HOF teammates over the year as opposed to signing with them via free agency. It's a different era for sure.

It's really disgusting to see so called competitors/rivals who are so buddy buddy with each other.

But when Boogie did this? :banderas:

Oochie Wally has nothing to do with One Mic. It's a stupid analogy by a stupid rapper and repeated by stupid sheeple.

Not if he went to Chicago or Houston. They haven't accomplished shyt.

And racists have a point about blacks and Mexicans. Don't make them any less racists and illogical. Same applies to Melo.

I notice you conveniently ignore certain points that I make and move goal posts. You're all over the place breh. You went from debating facts to debating fantasy teams. :pachaha:
If you feel Kobe and Tim would've been a super team then I guess Mailman and Stockton (2 HOF in their primes) was a super team and not a dynamic duo. There's a difference, but go ahead:pachaha:

I said Melo was 100% right that people want to play with great players. You disagreed. I used Kobe as an example and said that I'm sure he was much happier playing with Shaq or Pau than he was playing with someone like Kwame Brown. In which you started talking about how Kobe never wanted to join another team to win rings. I cited how he out of his own mouth said that if he got traded he preferred 3 teams which included Phoenix & San Antonio, teams that were already established and had stars on them, with one of them already being a championship team.
