Yeah I always understood Dame had to take on the role of "bad guy" when it was Rocafella vs THE INDUSTRY-- but if you gonna be the pit bull- you gotta remember not to bite the hand that feeds u-- when it was all said and done if Dame had no industry friends left, he should have made sure Jayz & staff LOVED HIM :wow:

:dame: What kinda man eats out of another man's hand.

:dame: I rather starve

nikka its obvious WHY they preferred to deal with Jay. Look at how Dame acts. Bleek even says NOBODY fukks with you and im sure he was talking about more people than label heads. Dame was a dikkhead to EVERYBODY. They all sold their shares of rocawear/rocafella but because Dame was such an a$$hole they offered it back to Hov you know why? Hov was owed $50M in royalties that Dame seemed to fukk up that Def Jam offered that to him along with masters of all his albums under Def Jam.

Lol@ tricking people into subscribing to TIDAL like millions of people dont download free music every day smh. All them exclusives will be bootlegged believe that.

nikkas need to hold Dame accountable for his own actions period. Its been 10 years since the split and Dame aint done shyt since. I wonder why

White people and bytch nikkas don't like brash a$$holes but they're necessary. Everybody's not meant to be loved. Dame took a gamble to be that pit bull for the label and he got repaid with a black balling. And about the tidal thing, there's a class action suit right now of people who felt tricked into buying tidal to hear TLOP....

I agree. In a sutation where LOYALTY was considered Dash would never be on the outside looking in. Then again Jay Z is fake. You got a fake marriage, had a fake retirement, got a fake baby from a fake pregnancy :mjlol:

Its stories like this as to why Dame always discourages people from talking about him

Deep down he knows he fukked up and he has a hard time dealing with the consequences that he created..

It has nothing to do with this whole narrative of "Men don't talk about other men" Dame just doesn't like dealing with criticism of himself

I agree 100% He took the money, over being his own boss. Jay-Z has this thing where he is obsessed with gaining cac approval (references to abstract painters, tom ford, etc) He aint even talking to US anymore, and hasnt been for over 10 years.

iN OTHER WORDS: JAY-Z IS AND HAS BEEN A SELLOUT. JUST A SELLOUT WHO CAN RAP WELL. NO MORE, NO LESS. :manny:

Sellout ? Not imo

look at the alternative he was faced with : "keeping it real" with this egotistical maniac known as Dame Dash.. Or deal with some level headed Jews who are all about business.. Dipset and Dame were too interested in"looking fly, and starting new rap beefs.

As black people we need to get to a point in our culture where we appreciate success, instead of looking for ways to criticize it

Its obvious the label bosses preferred dealing with jay. He was handed the rocawear deal. For all of this talk of being a great businessman he basically just cashed out the whole ROC dynasty. Fast forward to today and he's trying to trick people into buying tidal subscriptions by holding albums hostage. Its funny the dudes who dikk ride jay in this situation are the kind of people I would not like to be around.

Hip hop lost when the ROC broke up. Black men will never have that level of power in the music industry again.
No one was handed the rocawear deal, Dame sold his shares and Jay-z sold his for a lot more.

And Jay has infinitely more power today than back then :what:.. Back then he was a rapper with a shytty clothing line who didn't own his masters and owned about 17 % of his label. Now he has a label that that he owns, to 100 %, owns his masters, manages some of the biggest acts, DJ's, writers, producers, he even co-owns a label that has the biggest edm acts. He distributes his and his artist music on his own platform. All his nikkas are executives at his companies. He's competing with Apple in the tech industry, something not even the major labels are doing but you are reducing it to "trying to trick people". The hate :smh:

Tell us how owning 17 % of Roc-a-fella with Def Jam owning 50 % is being more of a boss than owning 100 % of Roc Nation. :jbhmm:.

He cashed out and finessed Def Jam and the Russians. Became a CEO to collect his masters and then started something new with complete ownership and a limited financing deal.
