There's different forms of love

Storge - liking someone through the fondness of familiarity, family members or people who relate in familiar ways. Examples being the love from a parent for their child

Philia - deep affectionate bond between two individuals. Examples being a close friendship. Examples being the bond between a father and his son. Elder to a younger person.

Eros - physical affection or sexual desire. Examples having sexual lust for a person you're sexually attracted too. This is also called limerence.

Agape - Unconditional for a group, a person or themselves. Examples being providing noble obligations such as caring for a sick or elderly person; volunteering at a homeless shelter or food banks for those in need; forgiving someone who did you dirty; a parent sacrificing their own for their children.

The most common form of love is eros and philia. Physical attraction gets our attention first. The more a person gets to know you, a bond develops.

Men do fall in love. We are just more practical.

I can’t think of a time where there was a woman that I didn’t have interests in that I suddenly developed some.

I think the way most people go about finding love is ass backwards. Once attraction has been established, I don't feel I'm missing out by saying I will only date/have sex with one guy and curving other guys that express interest.I would rather shoot the shot with someone (is this a good use of a sports analogy?) and if it's doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. I feel that most people want to date as many people as they can and then through those persons' actions they start to narrow down a "candidate".

This.

Ol school courting used to be like this generally.
Yet cheater swag set in.
as the go to style of communication with everything.
So this style of courting. That used to be called or phrased as ,....i'm talkin to someone.
Back in the day.
Said female would have curved you to Holla at whomever guy x was. Regardless of whomever you were as a new suitor. This committal courtship heavy style became a mixed bag by the late nineties in dating. As we were in the breakdown of American courtship and home.
across any and every line of racial existence. So as time persisted.
in that things just changed.
to this noncaring ideal.
of what I like to call the nonshot gun wedding style of life.
america has fallen into. From the commerce created by divorce. So eventually no one comes from any type of committal based ideal. So in general finding a mate to say you talk to them. Eventually would turn Into no phrase said at all. Past maybe everyonce in a while. A female will say. Oh I live with my guy......
Oh I live with my kids and my guy....

With dot dot dot leaving an opening for.
Still having communication to take place.
to easily still fukk without much work past convo.. When in earlier gens. You would have had to either be dealing with.
a stone cold cheat as a female.

Nowadays.

It is to be expected.

You as a committal based person.
are always going to dealing with and revolving in a world of cheats.

In human beings, there are no absolutes & it differs from one person to the next person. And it also depends on your experience.

So, as someone who has fallen in love gradually - I’d have to disagree with this. Also, it happened during the most toxic period of my life (age 20-23) when I thought I was that guy & I was running through bevy of chicks like the runway.

Granted I always had a soft spot for the chick & I liked being around her. But I never looked at her beyond being another chick to knock down for the stats. However, a lot of subtle things happened over time & subconsciously, I fell in love. Shyt happens.

Time & uncanny ability to touch sensibilities most haven’t able to reach can change a lot of things.
