Every now and then I’ll get compliments on my smile, haircut, or my voice. Sometimes it’s directly, and other times it’s me overhearing people talking about me.

Not on a daily basis, but I’ve gotten compliments frequently enough that I’ve taken notice. It’s usually about my shoes, my looks, or my hair.

As for the second question, I don’t assume she wants all that, but depending on who the compliment is coming from, it’ll at least make me wonder whether she might be feeling me

Most times it's about my hair tho. Which is pretty long. I don't rock dreads so when it's not braided up, its usually in a ponytail.

other times its either for cologne or some random shyt (eyes, complexion, etc..)

I don't assume a chick wants to smash if she compliment me tho. There's nothing wrong with voicing your admiration.

THis is one of the major things women hate about me. I rarely almost never compliment people, period.

But quite honestly I dont know how to accept compliments either. Every time someone compliments me on something i ALWAYS think there is an ulterior motive behind it.
So in my mind im thinking "ok.. now tell me what you really want".
I always feel like people , for the most part, dont really mean their compliments and are just using them to get on your good side before they harm you in some other way or just to pamper you. So in my head i fee like if i make someone a compliment they are gonna think about it the same way i think about compliments

Yes, for my work, not typically for looks. But I get at least one compliment daily. It feels great but I don't take it as a signal to move in
