Men should be allowed to legally opt out of being a parent

like a one time deal right before the baby is born he should be allowed to legally relinquish all rights and responsibilities (including any child support) when it comes to the child.

i say that because at any point if a woman becomes pregnant she can do as she pleases legally and the man has no say so. she can get an abortion if she wants, she can carry the child to term and give it up for adoption or she can choose to keep the child.

if he puts on his condom and it bust and she gets pregnant even if he does not want to be a parent from that point on the man's only choice is to accept whatever the woman decided even being forced against his will to be a parent.

the attitude is oh well you shouldn't have had sex if you don't want to be a parent. ok i get that but why then doesn't the woman face the same recourse?

if the system stays as it is i say make them illegal and make women who give their child up for adoption pay child support to the adoptive parents. force them to face the same consequences as a man that once a pregnancy occurs she's just along for the ride.

1. doesn't have to be raw. you can do everything right and still knock a woman up. condoms are 95% effective meaning one in every 10-11 times used they're statistically inclined to fail. this is with 100% proper use.

2. why can a woman have that option to walk away but not a man. we all make mistakes and accidents happen why should a man who has no desire to be a parent be forced into the role by another person?

3. if you don't want to be a parent what difference does it make who raises a child you have no desire to have? why do people give children up for adoption? everybody isn't parent material either.

4. and being forced into parenthood is acceptable?

5. you gonna sit up here and act like right now society doesn't enable women who have no business having children to do so? these chicks are on welfare now and your tax dollars are paying for the shyt. i know a chick that's basically homeless and got knocked up by a dusty nikka with no job. who's gonna pay for that kid? she has no job and nor does he. the government gonna pick up that tab. you act like a motherfukker paying $250 a month for a kid or some shyt is keeping these chicks off welfare and section 8 anyway.
