I'm going to go against the grain here and say, video games are a terrible 'hobby'. I used to play once a week/fortnight, but seeing my siblings spend hours upon hours on it every day turns me off so much, I haven't played in a couple months. This is even after spending 4.5k on a specced out gaming rig, I've spent less than 10 hours playing games over the last 3 months.

It sounds cliche but video games are a total waste of time in every sense of the word. Unlike gardening, programming, doing something technical, writing, creating video content, woodworking...video games benefit absolutely no one but yourself AND the time you spend playing doesn't 'compound'...being great at one game doesn't make you better in another OR help you out in other skills OR bring you income once you spend 10k hours playing (please save your dignity and don't come at me with esports). Any of the other skills, if you spend the amount of time the average gamer spends on his 'hobby', you could easily sell your skills/start a business.

Video gaming is a very selfish hobby and one that people should tread carefully.

Let me clarify this with this point: It all depends on the time you spend playing. Research shows the average gamer spends 7-8 hours a week, that's a freaking full days of work! Total waste of time.

Some guys try to make gaming sound like a 'hobby' when it's actually an addiction.

A 'healthy' gamer imo is someone who plays 3-4 hours a week MAX and NOT every day. Doing something every day is not just a hobby, it's a 'habit' . And gaming is a bad habit. There are tons of other hobbies you can choose where the more time you spend on it, you can reap the rewards in the future.

Speak for yourself. Ive easily made 5 figures off of gaming. Ive won mad tournies, traveled, made homies.

And did all this while being in school, military, college and fukking my woman at the time brains out.

Doing heroin is a bad habit. Sitting in the crib and gaming a few hours a night after you handled all your business already is a bad habit? You might as well say chess is a bad habit. Yall nikkas have such odd perspectives on here. U ain hurting nan body so how the fukk is it a bad habit?

This is pure hoe babble n u feeding into it let these goofy bytches pitch it

I got a Switch n planning on copping the 5 when it drops in price, but I don't play games heavy at all.

But these women are wrong.

if It wasn't games, they'd be complaining about him locking himself in his study and working on reading, poetry or fulfillment writing, or a studio and music with his peoples.

Or working out for a few hours at a time.

Basically anything that allows for distance between will get bad guyed.

Flip it around on them tho.

Ask what their hobbies are and await nonsense.

These ones are jealous of his intentness and joy.
as long as it's not encroaching on other aspects why is it a problem?

fukk outta here :camby:
Not everything in life has to be productive or add value to your life or make you money. Sometimes a nikka just wanna chill for a few hours and play call of duty. I manage to work a full 40 hours a week as a developer while being enrolled full time in school and I still hop on the game for 1-2 hours a day and I’m doing great in life imo. People talk shyt about gaming and then turn around and waste time scrolling through Instagram/Twitter for 5 hours a day or watching stupid reality shows. But, gaming is the problem?:mjlol:

there are 168 hours in a week and even if you play like I do for 2 hours a day 7 days a week, that’s still less than 1% of time you ‘waste’. You’ll be fine....
