people assign a value called Better or Worse to things that cannot be qualified all the time...would you rather live in prison or under the Highway off ramp?...most people would pick the latter because they instinctively understand being deprived of freedom is far worse...ergo they have assigned a value to freedom.

There clearly ARE cultures that are better and some are worse..this is easily seen in the number of people who permanently flee from certain repressive cultures being far greater than the numbers coming in.
