With the lack of demo's for these AAA games, the average consumer has no other options but to either look at the metacritic score or watch a bit of gameplay off of youtube to see if it's ok to spend $60.


But nope, publishers think that demo's hurt game sales now.

Metacritic is not doing nothing wrong they just adding convenience so you dont have to check 10 diff websites for reviews. you can go to one centrel place and get reviews from across the board. also if these dev's arent getting bonuses because they didn't get a 85 on MC, they cant blame metacritic you have to blame all the gaming publications that put out reviews. mc does not publiush theyre own review. Plus if they are relying on MC for bonuses, then that means their bosses or workplace or whatever is fukked up[ not MC. metacritic suppose to feed these nikkas?

personally i dont even really fukk with mc like that but it gets brought up here a lot i should start using it more

In other words you weren't even old enough to have any first hand knowledge of it's impact, influence, or any aspect of it's history.

Im only 25 and i understood the influence that mario 64 had back then.

Edit: then again, my mother was an avid gamer and had subscriptions to the magazines, which i would read.

Plus i was able to collect all 120 stars and finish oot around that age too.

I was only 12 when that game came out and understood the impact immediately. Do people even remember when the whole gaming world was flipping its shyt with the expected "Mario 128" was being shown? I remember people losing their mind when that shyt was being shown and then had some of its concepts thrown onto Mario Galaxy.

Sunshine was just a little piece to throw to the Mario fans, it is in no way, shape or form fukking with Mario 64 or the Galaxy Games. From what I remember Miyamoto wasn't even as involved with Sunshine.

I was the same age as u when it dropped and I remember the shyt like it was a year ago...lol

LBP is not a platforming so the Mario comparison is stupid. The game is a niche title that only appeals to a certain crowd(and I am not in it)

So we gonna act like Mario isn't mainly story driven platforming gaming with semi linear design while LBP is mainly about puzzle gameplay and level creation?
