Thats the thing with rap though. It evolves and changes in ways quite dramatic and often quick so what was cutting edge can be all belt, no onion by next season.

Metal and many other genres don't really have that issue to contend with. That and Hip Hop, like Camron, doesn't respect its elders. :stopitslime:

Think that may start to flip over the next few generations but a lot of the artform was built on innovation and whos got next so a short memory span is par for the course...

Metallica is goat level with a dedicated Fanbase. This is not surprising at all. Stop throwing our legends away and do them like Waite people do theirs
Metallica sucks all their good shyt was written by mustaine and cliff...post black album all albums should have been aborted. Bob rock is a fukkin loser, kirk despite being trained by satch is fukkin atrocious lars is the fukking WORST drummer of all time, the snare sound on Saint anger is the worst of all time, their play against Napster was wholly short sided.

You see the difference? Metallica ain’t been hot since ol boy was up there trying to fight Napster.

Kendrick Lamar went 5 years without an album and they said his time was up
Ones time being up as far as people caring about your new music is not the same thing as people coming to see your old music.

50 cent hasn't been hot for like 15 years, but people still love his hits and bangers, and classic album.

Other than that, not that it matters but Metallicas last album went platinum.

CACS support they legends and don't put an age limit on an art.:manny:
They support legends who sold a trillion records, who doesn't? :stopitslime:
Whitney couldn't tour? MJ couldn't? Prince? Jay-z, Dr. Dre, Nas? 50 cent? Snoop?

Anytime there's a thread like this people wanna compare the biggest artists of all times, to dudes that were hosting parties at some park in the Bronx.

We're talking about artists that got 5 mics in all the biggest magazines and sold 20 million units off one single album, went diamond multiple times and on.

Vs rappers who peaked at #176.

So how do you expect someone that peaked at #176 to have enough fans to sell out the SoFi? How do you expect them to 30 years later have enough fans to make any noise at all? :snoop:

And who supported them?
You think them CACS did something special Jimmy Hendrix and Eddie Hazzel wasn't doing?

What the fukk are you talking about?

You are moving the goal post now. Now you are asking why one particular cac moved more than one particular black man.
MJ has a bigger album than all of them.

Again you comparing LL Cool J to Metallica.

One sold 6 million perhaps, the other one 150-200 million perhaps and also happens to be the third best selling artist since the beginning of the 90s. That is without some of their best selling albums. Just very simple mathematics says that their shows should be 25x LL cool j. A bit more advanced stats, such as people attending shows just for the stature and big event aspect, says that their tour should be a lot bigger than 25x.

Stop just saying black rapper vs white artist, look at the numbers of what they did first. Look at the number of universal classics that also made big noise, genre defining releases and on. Then you might stop spamming the same shyt every time the biggest artists ever does big shyt
