You better start building your foundation now if you don't want to be poor in the next world too. Or will you be like some of your ancestors who said
Africans = ":mjtf: Guns and cannons...we don't need that. Weren't meant to have that. These spears and arrows work just fine, plus they're natural".

Cacs = :smugfavre::ufdup:

Change is inevitable and you either move with times or get left behind.

Eventually creating your own universe/reality is always the end goal.

The Godverse
Yeah they've done this before with Second Life and Playstation Home. Cool for a little bit then just fades to obscurity. :yeshrug:

The Ummah!
I dont think nothing will ever replace the real thing. I dont think humans as a whole will accept an online gf you can never see or touch vs the real thing. Just 1 example.

I don’t like it, we’re in a world of information overload as is

However. .. I’m going to figure the shyt out and how to move within it as safe/sanely as I can since it’s inevitable, we live in a near completely digital world. There’s a way to make it work for you without losing yourself in a VR planet

I refuse to be that dude judging/projecting and clutching tight to his blackberry/flip phone because it’s more simple and has physical buttons

while the world by and large has moved on to large touch screens and apps

Above The Clouds
it’s pretty wild

I always think about how before streaming services existed, for many people, the thought of not having a downloaded file of a song or a physical album was blasphemy. And now look, 90% of people have a Spotify, Apple Music Tidal etc subscription and it happened so fast.

Salute to the 10% who still want tangible goods for their entertainment and products :lawd:

The concept of the Metaverse isn’t new, it’s been here long before Zuck made it hot. The end game - I’m talking far into the future - is to literally leave this world and transfer your consciousness online.

As anti I am & with how irrelevant this next movement is to me I have to unfortunately agree with this post.

I look at how there's so many people I work with at my job both my age and older & how I'm the in house IT guy whenever they can't do anything cpu.

I know so many baby boomers & gen x'ers who refused to learn how to use a computer.
