If anybody has bought anything electronic/appliances recently you see they are trying to connect EVERYTHING to a central network. They want to know what you're doing as you're doing it, and they also know where you're at. If you're on any type of network they already know where you're at. Putting everything online is a way to control buying and selling also. All money will be turned to crypto eventually. Crypto is tracked 100% (China is going that way and Jamaica has already started, others soon to follow). They know what you buy and when you buy it. They can control your access to what you can buy.

Bartering will likely be the only way outside of "the system" when it's fully in place. Paper money and coins will likely cease to exist. But at that point, people will be turning you in if you're not a part of the system, because you're a threat in their mind.

I dont think nothing will ever replace the real thing. I dont think humans as a whole will accept an online gf you can never see or touch vs the real thing. Just 1 example.

I don't think it'd ever "replace" the real thing. But they could certainly make it where most people prefer it. Humans tend to want things in the path of least resistance. If VR/Metaverse technology opens those doors... It's going to take time, but people will gravitate towards it. They just need an incentive, and these industries are experts at human psychology. They have to be. So they'll know just the right ways to bring people in bit by bit.

Guarantee you though, sooner or later, the question of "What IS reality anyway?" will start coming up more and more as this starts coming out. But that'd be far into the future.

There used to be a social networking site like that when I was in my teens. For the life of me, I cannot remember what it was called. Habib or some shyt. You could walk around in a virtual space and interact with people.

Goes to show you what hitting the scene 20 years can do. I suppose when you look at the Sims, it also shows the money that can be lost by not taking the next step.

Can fully understand why the big wigs at Google get paid what they do. Having the right person steering the ship can be the difference between being Google and being a Yahoo.

Metaverse is going to be big for kids not born yet.
Genz Z and younger only know the virtual world and are hooked up to it 24/7. They don't see a problem with virtualizing everything, go see Roblox church or house parties on YouTube.

I have younger siblings and relatives that age, they still like in person activities, especially since being forced to social distance. I actually think the whole sims thing will flop not only bc it’s not realistic but bc if the pandemic, people will appreciate in person things more.

Besides cacs and asians say the world is a simulation so why not build one and live there were there is no suffering, no racism and u can litterally be who u wanna be.
