Method Man has never spit a flow that didn't ride the track perfectly!

Tical era method man is the scariest mc of all times. Even more so than dirty or dmx at their heights. More than p rae and ghost primes. More than bug pac nas and jay. Ive been listening to tical and tical 2 a lot lately. If tical 2 was cut to wu tracks only it would have been known as a classic.

Tical IS a classic. When people pretend it isnt cause wu continued to peak out, im annoyed. Cause method man never hit that tical peak again. It was the beats. And flows. Noone made those crazy bassline scary beats like rza in that era. Noone ever even came close to dropping albums worth of beats like that. Harder than mobb deep onyx and wu as a whole. Meth cultivated an entire diff sound than other rappers with that shyt. The release yo delf prodigy remix. Insane.

Tical
Dangerous ground
Shaolin what
Cradle rock
I get my thang in action
What the blood clot
Sub crazy

And even 99-04 method man is better than most rappers even if i disliked how he went commercial with the beats. I understood what he was doing business wise and never faulted him for it.

Method man has impressed me more than any rapper ever has with flow and presence alone. And his lyrics are crazy. Joe budden was so outta pocket back then. What a horrible take.

If you do a top 5 dead or alive when it comes to the greatest flows ever then you know Meth would get in where he fits in without question because he rides the beat with clarity, confidence and coherence that is self evident on the first spin.

This still stands as one of his greatest performances and what I'd use as a benchmark reference if I was executive producing an album for him as he spits flows that use his voice as an instrument which counterpoints the beat by sitting in the pocket. Thats something far beyond the average and quite a talent as it catches your ear in an instant due to its rhythmic presence.

Meth uses his breaths like no rapper. It all sounds so on point its crazy. His presence at this time is hall of fame. People big up the next few albums cause they were deeper in subject matter. Meths whole style is banger.
