Honestly if they aren't gonna dedicate themselves to making something dope, I can't say I'm upset about this. Tribe just dropped a great album that doesn't compromise the "Tribe" sound yet also sounds modern. I've been waiting to hear that from the Wu, production AND lyrics wise, for awhile. I'm talking group, not solo because obviously Ghostface is still dropping good music.

At the end of the day...with RZA having completely fallen off I don't see much future for the Wu unless the other members can find another producer who can bring that sound back, but modernize it a bit. Whether that's Alchemist or someone else...

I can't think of one track on A Better Tomorrow that I want to hear again, live or on my music devices. At least 8 Diagrams had Campfire and some other good tracks.

Honestly, if RZA takes a backseat...I have faith. Individually, everyone is capable of making good music. Joints like Pioneer The Frontier and Necklace sound like what Wu should sound like

The Clansman say the same ish before every album. They said the same ish even before The W. N!ggas was going through ish during Wu-Forever.

I'm still tryna figure out why people don't like A Better Tomorrow. It can't be the public bickering. If bickering stopped people from supporting W projects, then no one would would've sold after Iron Man. Worst than 8 Diagrams? Yeah...NO. It really is a good album...their 3rd best..like Ghost said.
A Better Tomorrow was absolute garbage.

The last good Wu album was the W.

ABT makes Iron Flag look like It Was Written in Comparison.

that lyin cac b*stard Shrekli needs to honor his word and release once upon a time in shaolin
That should of been their real last album. Makes sense. Every wu tang member and affiliate is on there.

I guess RZA didn't like that idea of releasing it commercially cause it was all Cilvaringz behind the boards.

Lesbianhonest...RZA as a producer fell off with Bobby Digital. Chopped up Stax Records samples and dusty ASR-10 EMU SP1200 analog bass kicks and snares was the essence of the Wu. When he stopped sampling, the quality went down far...

tell us whats the good in that album please....
Ruckus in B Minor
Mistaken Identity
Necklace
Pioneer the Frontier

I think the production was nice, just not what people wanted from a Wu album. If it was a Roots album I bet nobody would have complaints

I'll add:
Felt
Never Let Go
Reunion

Miracle isn't bad, but the hook is atrocious. It kinda does the same as Conditioner for me, in that it takes you out of the album for a bit. But Preacher's Daughter is a cool track. The whole album has a 70's feel, combined with the edge of the Wu. As far as people saying that's not what they want from a Wu album, I don't think the people know what they want. No 2 Wu albums sound anything alike. Forever sounds nothing like 36 - you can barely tell that's the same group.

Let's break down The W. People hated that when it came out. It had some outta place tracks on it too.
Iron Flag wasn't even an album, it was a compilation for the reasons being it was hard to get the Clan to show up for tracks. Iron Flag also has Dashing on it, probably the worst track the Clan ever did. It has the weirdest is in Radioactive
8 Diagrams had Get Em Out the Way Pay, Gun Will Go, Stick Me for My Riches, Starter. Aren't any tracks as bad as those on A Better Tomorrow.

That last album was horrid...I don't get it. I went through the whole thing in 5 minutes and knew I wouldn't fuk with it.

They have their own original sound and they consciously fukked it up over the years.

Raekwon has been the only one within the last 10 years who proved that you can still make up to date dope songs with the Wu sound.

OB4CL 2 is the last Wu album that sounds anything like the 90s
