
So while I was 8 when it dropped, the main things I remember about that time period was the Bring the Pain video that blew my mind and just made me stop and pay attention. The black and white, the eyeball, the fangs, all of it just made a young me pay attention. I finally heard the album once I got to middle school and was diving head first into Method Man, who'd become my favorite MC, and the album blew my damn mind. The way it starts with Tical, the way it ends with the Method Man remix and all the dope stuff in between is just perfect. Bring the Pain is such an incredible song for any genre not just hip hop. Biscuits is slept on, Sub Crazy is eerie, and Stimulation is

every damn time. The crazy thing about it, outside of All I Need, meth didn't make a very accessible album yet it sold more than any of the first round of Wu joints because of that song and just his appeal. And to think he put it all together on tour because the OG version got destroyed just shows how great dude is. This album has become like a cult movie and it's finally getting its due. Yeah it's not as "great" as the ones that followed but that doesn't mean it's not dope all the way around. There are few albums that inspire me creatively and this is one of them. Meth has been consistently dope and this is the start of all of that. And I firmly believe that what he does on the 2nd verse of Bring the Pain is one of the dopest performances in the history of the game.
