I'm glad he did this. I was tired of monotone 21 savage on 70 bpm trap beats. Dro slid on everything. He mixed the black boy white boy /futuristic sound well. A few songs have that late 90s Soso Def atl Miami bass sound too. It's also nice to hear actual songs with choruses and bridges, instead of run on verses and stupid beat switches

This was so ironic because I loved this sound. I still play the J money & yung LA tape superhero language, the dro and LA tapes, Travis porter. Loved those KE on the track beats and that futuristic swag rap shyt. Even Roscoe back then.

This is exactly what I wanted and it delivered.

But I’m from the south and the right age to remember experiencing this era so it’s different for me and I understand if people don’t feel it. There are a few songs I absolutely hate.
