Problem is your logic for Artest being cut doesn't follow with Beno. Beno didn't fall out of the rotation because he sucked. Or at least he doesn't suck as much as the guy getting minutes- who's thoroughly embarrassed himself all year.

What? They're different players, with different situations. They don't have to "follow" each other. It's not like there's one reason you get cut. Guys get cut for a variety of reasons, but it usually falls into a few categories:
- You're not able to perform at the level they need/want
- You're causing problems off the court
- You don't fit the playing/style
- You negotiate a release, because you'd like the chance to play or catch-on somewhere else

They both fell out of the rotation. The difference is - while I don't love Beno's game, he can still perform at an NBA level. Woodson doesn't like him for whatever reason (probably "defense" and woodson is terrible). But he can still play, he had a stretch of games that proved that. When he fell out of the rotation, and saw the writing on the wall, he asked for a trade. He didn't get one, so instead he got released, and can try to sign somewhere that will give him a shot at playing.

You're reference to "he's been better than felton" is fine. I don't disagree, though I don't think either of them are top 20 pg's in the nba right now. But the difference is Felton has 2 years left on his deal, and if you cut him - you have to pay him that money. So they're not going to cut him... that's basic NBA business. Also basic math.

World Peace has lost a lot of mobility, and he can't guard his position anymore. It might be different if he'd improved his jumper enough to create spacing - because he still knows how to find holes in a defense, and work positioning - but he can't beat a man off the dribble anymore, and his defense has deteriorated to the point where - if the other man has any speed, he can't guard him. Plus, he's always been a bit of a loon, and (from what the propaganda is saying) he started to rub Woody the wrong way.

Again, the first guy I would have released is Woodson. But Metta has been cut twice now by teams that aren't that talented. He's never been the older-guy mentor type. I don't think he's a cancer, but they don't want him holding a bench spot.

I think they should be playing Toure Murry 25 minutes a game and see what happens.

Yeah no shyt.

Beno saw the bullshyt favoritism from the beginning of the year and basically said get me the fukk out of here. Artest didn't play all season so who knows. I'd fall out of favor with this absurd franchise too.

Woodson isn't the problem- he's only looking out for himself here. He's doing whatever he can to keep getting a paycheck.

Yeah. So what's the argument? We agree.

Except for the fact that Woodson has been horrible. I understand he's trying to keep his job, so am I. The difference is I'm effective at mine, and therefore the group I work with excel. And when something I'm doing isn't working, I aggressively try to change course.

The organization is a joke, and if I was Melo, I'd leave a stream of smoke behind me like a fukking rocket as a shot outta town.

You're acting as if Woody has the authority to change course. He doesn't. He's there to do what others tell him to do and that's how he's kept his job. He's a good MSG soldier.

Why would Melo leave? All the shots, all the credit, no expectations.

You're always auditioning for your next job, and he's not doing it well. He won't have a head coaching job next season.

You think he's gotten a lot of "credit" over the past 2-3 seasons? :russ:
