I think a lot of it comes from his sample choices.

I kind of have a love/hate thing with Daringer. As a producer nerd, I don't find him to be a super technical producer or anything, and when he misses I think he sounds super unimpressive. But when he chooses the right sample he's definitely got some ear candy joints that knock and compliment the rapper. He's good at not overcooking the beat but also not always being super lazy and doing nothing at all to the sample.

The RZA comparisons are definitely absurd in regards to skill, but he does pick a lot of samples that sound like shyt RZA used to pick.

I can hear it on joints like these. These both sounds like Forever era RZA samples

He has little to no melody in his music at all like rza and mobb did. This entire album is filled with single shot piano hits and plain drums. Nothing has a bounce or bop to it at all.

That fjrst beat you posted isbthe best one on the album cause the bass lays a base to work off and its not a single piano shot. Hate that shyt

That's my main issue with daringer. His shyt is so repetitive and monotonous. Once you've heard the first 10 seconds of the beat you've heard everything. Rza would always add shyt every few bars to keep it fresh. Rza's beats had layers to em. Daringer's beats sound like havoc throwaways.

Yo a friend told me meyhem x madlib coming out?
That'd be really dope. I haven't heard anything. Unfortunately with the Madlib projects I don't tend to hold my breath. PushLib. GunnLib. The Black Star album did drop this year so that's really dope, and he has been consistent. I'm not trying to say Madlib isn't active, because he is.

I'd love to get a Meyhem and Madlib joint though.
