Miami's biggest problem is that they didn't hire an elite coach to lead them

:duck:

You counting Kobe's first 2 years when he was on the bench as a 18 & 19 year old:rudy:

And Kobe wasnt near his prime at ALL in those 3 years before Phil came to town

Yeah Kobe got to sit 2 years and then get Shaq and then Phil Jackson and then play. Bron had to lead a team at 18 with Paul Silas at coach and Big Z. :dead: Silver spoon

Well, Kobe and Shaq arrived in the same offseason and he became a starter while Dell Harris was coach.

LeBron James came to a team that had a 7'3 Center coming off an All-Star season, and a future 2x NBA All-Star at PF, while playing in a weak ass Eastern Conference where the #2 seed was 47-35 (New Jersey) and 4 teams made the playoffs without a winning record (New Orleans/Milwaukee/New York/Boston)

Seems like they figured they could become a dynasty with an average coach and depend on their talent to overcome all. Spo is not a good coach and it's pretty obvious. Hell, how long did it take him to give Mike Miller some burn. I never hear anyone say how they came out with a good strategy, it's always how or why one of the big 3 isn't performing.
