What i mean is much like the single mamas whether successful or not and their rightful admiration of a black couple between a man and a woman, lames look at the breh MJB the same way. They all want what he has amassed. They want the charm, the looks and natural swagger (still come off like a cornball you see it in that smirk) the physique. What they are overall lacking. See this is just as problematic and worrisome because its another form of escapism and idolatry that is a big issue with some of the people in our community. But more importantly as a man, you shouldn’t be looking to another man you don’t know, let alone a “actor” as a source for reclaiming your manhood. I get it, a number of ya’ll sat alone or in the library during lunchtime, nerdy hoes to the pretty girls stepped over you and played jump rope with your heart strings and now you rightly may or may not have glowed up but you still feeling empty at the end of the day so you look to someone as a figurehead for how you THINK you should be but ignore who you ARE.

Who you ARE isn’t the problem, its HOW YOU ARE that’s leading to your chronic unhappiness and wish casting. Telling a bytch or trying to humble a mf that was a damn mentally undeveloped child ain’t what you should strive for. What you strive for is that sense of rebirth. Where as a man you chronicle the trials and tribulations and right those wrongs through emotional, mental and spiritual realignment. Then comes enjoying the spoils of your labor.

Umm so let’s see insert pretty much any successful celebrity especially actors they all fit this mold. So wouldn’t they all be the same. I don’t recall a post saying how Denzel for example is who the lames look up to. Same with just about all of the rappers and music artist they all fit this mold. Basically they were nobodies until they got some pull. I remember when folks in Petersburg used to shyt on a young trey songz. Basically until you level up most folks are just average. So the question becomes who are actually the lames? The person who build their value through working hard and overcoming or the people who peaked in highschool?

MBJ is a successful rich clean cut brotha, he doesn't have babymamas, scandals, never been to jail etc. He doesn't fit the "bad boy/thug" mold that many young women like.

He shouldnt change himself either, a square woman would appreciate a man like him.

Men could learn a lesson from this, go for women who appreciate the type of dude you are.

What's funny is that I vividly remember TLR shytting on MJB for supposedly being a one-dimensional overrated actor. There's so many threads from back in the late 2010's on this. Many comments back then were calling him a lame no different from that interviewer too.

Glad to see that TLR has switched it up and is now giving him his flowers while he's still here though.

He is one dimensional tho:manny:

People take offense to one dimensional but it ain't necessarily a bad description. Denzel been playing the same role for 20 years. So has Jason Bateman. Knowing your range and playing inside it can be a strength and every actor doesn't have to completely disappear inside of a role. MBJ is along similar lines where he's good at playing variations of himself. He reaches outside of that and :francis:

MBJ was bad in Black Panther and nikkas treat that shyt like blasphemy:mjlol: y'all gotta stop this shyt where black people can't be criticized for anything, especially creative pursuits

This is something that ALOT of men need to be introspective about. I see men throw the lame title around alot, sometimes like a reflex and when I try to look at it objectively its like if a brother doesnt fit neatly in a box of a limited archetype everything else is considered "lame".. some dudes look at other men thru the eyes of a women in our community and measure it based on having "swag" and "mouthpiece" not being productive or anything of that nature.. Boy the matriarchal psychosis is deeeeeeeep

All I know is some people have trauma or poor experiences from childhood or adolescence whereas their mentally and socially underdeveloped peers done built condos and free real estate in their heads and that shyt still in their minds as grown azz adults. Some project their issues and insecurities to this community and using examples of MBJ and Russell Wilson and I dunno if Dr. Phil or Iyanla can help with this.

A black man humbling a black woman without even "going in" has people doing all this.

some of you have to consider the possibility that the pendulum swung way toooooo far off into that pandering/queens bullshyt. People are completely broken about this and are trying to find loopholes to make it like that woman in that clip "won".
