Yeah, really weird. They basically said he was guilty of attempted murder on the vehicle occupants, shooting into the vehicle, etc, but couldn't reach a consensus on the actual killing of the Jordan Davis

How do you find someone guilty of attempted murder, but not murder when someone actually died?
Ok, the CNN panelist explains it this way:
The jury was most likely stuck on whether or not the initial shots that caused the death of Jordan Davis were in self defense (ie, did the teens have a gun or not).
Regardless of that, the evidence shows he continued to fire into the car as the teens sped away. Basically, after any alleged "threat" to his own life was over...this is where the attempt murder charges come in.

He killed that kid, left the scene of the crime, drove to his hotel, hid the car, ordered pizza, walked his dog, had a rum and coke then watched a movie all while claiming he was scared for his life.

How do you see this as a good thing? Do you even know the maximum amount of time that he can be sentenced for what he was convicted of?
