NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
cut the chit.

you were in denial about that all thru this thread. before it was "everybody loved mike in the '80s" but now that other level-headed people are in here backing you down, suddenly its "well that type of stuff is gonna happen. its not a big deal". and now youre moving the goal-post and trying to force chit that i wasnt even arguing about. ive repeatedly stated that i never claimed 'all black people didnt rock with mike'. but yet, you keep trying to put these words in my mouth in hopes of you saving face. ive been specific and consistent with my arguments thru the entire thread. and instead of just saying "yall right", you want to shift the narrative and put words on my keyboard.

and you completely ran away from the argument where you claimed that mike wasnt a laughing stock in the '80s. that chit got shut all the way down.

be real with the game and take the L like a man.

you try way too hard.
Nah u full of shyt I didn’t change my stance. I flat out said the exact same thing earlier in the argument. I said only people who prolly had an issue are the people who still wanted the Motown shyt. And they are a MINORITY. The proof is right in the posts. Don’t bullshyt fam. Bottom line u tryna say black people were “off MJ” in the 80s is even dumber than saying people were “off Mobb Deep” when they dropped Murda Musik which is their first fukking album that went plat. Same way u tried to say the hood was “off Jordan” in 1996-98. U have these dumb ass hot takes fam and will argue 500 people telling u the opposite and highlight 2 people who agree and think it validates ur dumb ass argument fam. Cut the bullshyt out fam. Lol

bullchit.

- and i see youre still running away from the fact that you swore people werent making fun of mike in the '80s. that says a ton about your character or lack there-of.
- it took you a while to even make that backhanded motown comment. that chit came on the slick after i logged off yesterday AFTER you argued me down about it.
- theyre not a minority. theyre his OG fanbase of 15+ years for crying out loud.
- AGAIN, i never said BLACK PEOPLE AS A WHOLE. and ive made that abundantly clear for the last 10 pages. but youre still trying to misquote me, and wont even acknowledge the fact that im calling you out on the misquotes.

and youre bringing up old chit and misquoting me on those too.
listen, dont get me confused with you lil dudes. when im wrong, im quick to admit it.
of course a crowd like this isnt gonna agree with most of my "hot takes". i'd rather have cosigns from 2 people who actually know what theyre talking about, rather than 20 people who dont know chit. cuz when those two people speak up, the rest of you dudes either scatter like roaches, or in you case, try to switch up on the sly. the truth always wins out.

yes alot of people were off of mobb deep. they were past their prime and in a new era.
i never said they were irrelevant in '99-00 or anything of that nature. so why are you so upset?? youre too much into idol worship.
and yea, they had their biggest hit(largely thanks to lil kim) on that album, and it occurred in the midst of the sales boom period. they werent the only old vets who made their most money during that timeframe. whats your point?? are you insinuating that this album had the cultural relevance of an infamous or even "hell on earth"??

i dont remember the jordan thing, but im sure i didnt say that the hood was "off jordan". thats not even possible with his kicks.
what i prolly said was that there were other players that were more popular in the hood in that timeframe, especially with the kids coming up.
but of course, leave it to you to twist my words around.

YOU LITERALLY STEALIN MY REPLIES NOW

DO BETTER

i dont even know what youre talking about.

i wont dwell on it tho, cuz i keep seeing that youre some jewish kid pretending to be black - which makes alot of sense looking at your posts.

Most of your posts read like some history re-write from an "I Love My '90's" and "I Love My 80's" docs hosted by Tone Loc and Sir Mix A Lot from VH1.

Only fruit in here is you because when you're not on that steeze, everything else reads like LSA gossip.

you dont have any sense of charisma, wittiness or personality.

and on top of that, all youre doing is re-wording chit that i just said to you a few posts ago and making it look corny.:why:

you cant even think up your own insults.:snoop:

Or Jimmy/Terry
Or The Neptunes

all of these producers can also write and actually play instruments and have cross genre success (which Dre does not). Now some could say “look at what he did with Gwen” but “Rich Girl” was already a well known song that he jacked.

shyt, he was jacking beats in the Wreckin Crew days. “Before You Turn Off the Lights” has a heavy unchopped sample all over it.

Where are the large parcels of original shyt Dre has done? When you have access to Storch, Mike Elizondo, Daz and Mel Man, the process gets way easier. But I’m not going to put undue praise when he would literally sample the shyt out of records and not even chop it up like Jay Dee or Primo would take the time to do.

Dre’s consistency was never there and Pac himself called him out on taking too long to do even one track. Meanwhile, Daz and Quik were under the same umbrella and cranking out more shyt. I’ll give Dre credit for being a great mixer and probably balancing out the vibe in the studio and people respecting him enough to organize everything, but pound for pound, he can’t see Teddy and would absolutely get washed by Babyface.

These are dudes who are beatmakers and producers + can mix.

If we are going to judge these producers it has to be fair and on purely identifiable solo work. Can’t only praise Timbo during the Timberlake era when Danja made that project what it was.

At least when you get a Teddy track or a Jimmy/Terry track, you know there wasn’t other people in there helping out and not getting credit until after the fact when the truth comes out on Dub CNN.

False homie Dre play instruments he played a few on nikkaz4Life and this is from his in studio musician L.A. Dre who was on all Ruthless Records Dre produced

There's a reason why Ted Riley isn't as popular or a household name like Dr Dre is. Dre would've def benefitted from working with Michael, had a few classics and would have those joints rejuvenate MJ to new heights more than what Ted Riley did for him. You gotta remember he was fresh off not working with Quincy and was entering a new decade with a new sound that at first people weren't welcoming. coming from Michael. Dre would've given him something that would still be playing in Clubs today. :hubie:

Im not sure whats being argued here

But Michael Jackson being a "laughing stock" in the 80's is historical fiction:mjlol:

Dude was basically a demi-god amongst men in the eighties lol:mjlol:
