Not necessarily as it's no guarantee that those same consumers would still go out and purchase those albums in person. Streaming and how cheap it is has made it easier to play music with a click of a button and less hassle than buying physical copy.

One difference here is that someone had to be interested in hearing MJ music to end up streaming on of his tracks. Legit interest, as in they were playing it because they enjoy the music.
