LOL, MJ most def was good enough to go HS to the NBA. For crying out loud, he had the scoring record for the McD's All American game till Jon Bender broke it.

MJ was destroying NBA superstars in the Summer Olympics of '84....he hadn't yet played one minute of professional basketball and was giving it to dudes like Zeke and Bird....it's not reach to think he could have done similarly had he played only 1 or 2 years of college.

Have the greatest defensive wing player in league history (Kawhi on the way :wow:) and the greatest rebounder in history and people claim it's not a super team :mjgrin:

That wing player developed his defensive skills having to D up on Jordan every damn day in practice.

Before Jordan made him into a man, Scottie was catching phukin "migraines" during the playoffs.

Jordan won three chips before the "greatest rebounder" joined the team.

MJ wasnt good enough to go to NBA straight out of HS even if it was allowed. So I don't see how that's a knock on Bron

MJ did hold the McDonald's scoring record though. Never mind a Naismith Award. He would be a #1 pick in this era especially any draft class 2001 to 2005. That 81 championship team did defeat NBA G.O.A.T.s Clyde and Hakeem in the Final Four.

MJ did miss most of another NBA season with a broken ankle. Just put the missed seasons in perspective he still had a career avg of 30 plus.

The LeBron stanning has to stop his mid range jumper is lackluster, but he can finish at the hoop. He is durable. His game wont age well though. Can you imagine him being MVP and Champion at 36 or being a 40 year old with a 40 point game?

It's because of KG, Kobe, and T-Mac that LeBron could think of coming out. He owes alot to them cats.

yeah MJ could've went to the NBA outta high school. I do think though that playing for the Gawd Dean Smith developed his game to the advanced level though. MJ had all the athleticism in the world, even MJ will say Dean was instrumental in teaching him the game, the nuances. Anytime you got the athleticism and intensity of MJ plus the tutelage of the goat equal opportunity coach Smith, you get the GOAT.

MJ=GOAT
DEAN=GOAT

Nah I think he is cool, but lets relax a little bit. I didn't say LeBron won't score more, rebound more, play more games, etc. than MJ.

I just said he's not better than MJ. I don't really mess MJ like that, this stuff has to stop though.

I don't see a issue anymore of anyone saying Bron better than MJ:yeshrug:

U don't how it pains me to say that. I just knew he would flame out, but I don't see him slowing down at all. I understand a ton of y'all hold MJ to this mythical standard. But man this dude Bron consistency is crazy.

Is this "his game won't age well" stuff EVER going to stop?

There's only been four MVP seasons by a player over 31...Lebron ALREADY over 31 and playing at an MVP caliber level. Not to mention dominating like no one before to a title last year. Name Kobe's best season at this age, and it don't come close to comparing. So how you say his game ain't aging well?

And Jordan had so much less wear at his later ages from all the time he took off that just age alone don't say much. If Lebron took the next two years off he'd look strong at 35-36 too.

It is what it is man. LeBrons legacy is sealed. He did the 3-1 comeback with a little sniching. His lackluster mid-range jumper/free throws always rubbed me wrong. These are things that should have been more consistent from HS, but he only has gotten marginally better. He gets by over with the athleticism and card blanche to do whatever on offense. He has bolstered these things with his durability.

I wonder how good he would be if he wasn't annointed the Chosen One? I think his choosing came at the most opportune time; sort of like a created narrative. Not. organic at all.

:ohhh:

the low end. southside chi
MJ
Regular season: 1072
Playoffs: 179
Total: 1251

LeBron
Regular season: 1050
Playoffs: 199
Total: 1249

And Bron still has many years left in the tank. Makes you wonder about how MJ's resume would look like if he played more, and it also shows how durable and consistent LeBron is :ohhh:

For comparison, Kobe played 1346 regular season and 220 postseason games, for a total of 1566.
lebron played in hella game 7's
