Magic ripped it too. Even brought up flying econ class going to games. I get it people playing more these days, so they should cut season short and players cant complain about the the reduced $

I don't even think they should cut the season.

I agree with MJ, it's 82 games in the season, and if you're healthy, you play just like every player that played before Pop started this load management shyt like 5-6 years ago, then Bron jumped on the bandwagon.

I understand that Kawhi supposedly has a lingering knee problem, even though I don't think it's ever been adequately discussed, but if that's the case, I see the need to rest him SOMETIMES, but he already sat out damn near one whole season, then played 60% of last season, and has already missed 2 games this year.

He should be healed by now, and if not, he needs to go ahead and take a month or so off and get his shyt together.

It's not fair to the fans that payed their money to watch this man play only to get to the game and see him sitting in a suit chuckling on the sidelines, when you know he could be out there balling if he really wanted to.

It's not fair to the networks that payed the NBA all this money for these TV deals only to see the stars they really payed for sitting on the bench during their broadcasts.

And it's not fair to the fans sitting at home, that love the NBA and want to see the superstars go head to head on National television.

It's just a wack situation all around and Silver needs to do something about it.

coming from the dude who took an entire season off and retired twice

The point you're missing is he retired.

He didn't take money to play then sit out games in the middle of the season because he felt like it.

He didn't have fans spending a couple hundred on seats to a Bulls game, expecting to watch the GOAT in action, only to get there and see him sitting on the bench in a suit laughing with Cliff Levingston.

These threads prove that people on here are either willfully ignorant or in denial. The game was a lot less taxing back then.

What’s more taxing about the game now then in the late 80’s early 90’s?

The pace was fast in the 80’s and defense was physical in the 90’s , they wasn’t flying private, they didn’t have access to a lot of things players have today. What’s makes it so much more taxing now?

Can’t say that without seeing his profit margins.

They’ve had some solid teams since he’s been an owner it’s not his fault they’ve drafted busts
It literally is his fault they drafted busts. LOL.
He is the owner he signs off final approval of free agents pickups, draft selections, GM, and coaches. LOL

he makes a profit every year how is he unsuccessful

Mike Brown of the Bengals makes a profit too.
Very successful owner right?
LOL

But when he did play only twice did he play less than 78 regular season games, tho. One was the broken leg year, the other was the 2nd return from retirement when he started to have knee issues.

Meanwhile today's stars rarely play more than 70-75 games.
Get it right, f@gots:ufdup:

all this juelzing but you fail to mention the league is more competitive and cutthroat in terms of athletic demand, tempo, possessions per game than ever.

Dont nobody give a fukk about Wilt matched up with some insurance salesmen, and games with scores of 79-69
What kinda ignorant ass shyt is this?

The game was STOOPIDLY fast in Wilts era. Wasn't no 79-69 games back them.

THIS IS IDENTICAL TO MY OPINION.

YOU HAVE TO USE LOAD MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBLY FOR THE SAKE OF THE LEAGUE.

TAKE THE NIGHT OFF AGAINST THE GRIZZLIES
NOT ON A NATIONAL TV GAME
LET ALONE VS THE MVP.

THEYRE SHOOTING THEMSELVES
IN THE FOOT WHEN THOSE NEW
TV NEGOTIATIONS COME AROUND.

DUDES KEPT MISSING TNT & ABC
SATURDAY NIGHT GAMES A FEW SEASONS AGO.

USE SOME fukkING COMMON SENSE.

THESE BIG MATCHUPS COST A LOT OF MONEY.

shyt was disgusting when Ty Lue and Doc Rivers sat out the Cavs and Clippers starters for an ABC game but played them against lottery teams the next night. shyt was blatantly antagonistic to the league.

Mike only trying to pay minimum wage for them 82 games anyway :mjpls:.

It was a lot easier to play 82 when the networks didn't dictate the schedule and they had less back-to-backs scheduled too:sas2:
