And you probably can't name any of them, or at least most fans can't...which is pretty much how teams prefer it.

No team wants to deal with all the nonsense that comes with having the 'first gay NFL player' if all he returns is practice squad level output.

Honestly, I thought he got cut cause he was a tweener.... to small to be a DE... too slow to be a LB. There are teams out there looking for a 3rd down pass rusher. He should drop the gay agenda and keep putting in work.

He's too small to be a DE in the NFL. Simple as that.

When ESPN showed him licking cake off of that other dudes face and were pretending it was such a beautiful thing...I just remember everyone was giving them the Stephen A Smith smiley because it was so unnecessary and gross.

Sam can be a good 3rd down rusher.Sam is probably better at rushing than Jarvis Jones right now.

First, there are already gay players on NFL teams. Second, a team deciding not to employ Sam because he's gay on account of public reaction is both ridiculous and illegal. A team could decide not to hire a black NFL player under the same reasons.

They have hiesman winners who not on rosters and never got drafted
Yeah but most of them at least made a practice squad right? And again Sam did perform during preseason when the game counts not just during a combine or a pro day that gets scouts hyped.

nah breh most had the :scusthov: or :huhldup:or:scust: face.

Scust ESPN, who is owned by Disney (filled with homosexuals) really made a spectacle of it.

Too bad ol'boy threw his family under the bus, to get some attention.

Basically a "gay tackling dummy"...

You could live with it if he was the "gay rotational player"

Played well in college, but played in a run-heavy conference where he was more downhill attack the ball carrier. He got sacks and earned that SEC Def Player of the Year, but look at the stats, the bulk of those sacks came against weaker comp and FCS talent.

It's no disrespect to him, but tape doesn't lie and I did my research on him once I saw he was coming to the Cowboys. Basically, he was drafted in the 6 or 7th as a gift, which is cool, but a reach. This was more likely to happen than he becoming Terrell Suggs

You say there are already gay players on teams but you can't name any of them, because they are keeping a low profile. The team probably doesn't care. Sam is embracing all the media attention and making a spectacle out of himself.
I doubt teams are refusing to sign him because he's gay. It's more likely the spectacle doesn't justify his impact on the field.

And no this kind of reasoning couldn't and wouldn't be used to deny black players roster spots.

And the fact he went to "they cut me because I'm gay" eliminates any chance that someone will take a chance on him.

At the same time, if he never came out the closet he wouldn't have even been drafted. His performance at the combine wasn't remarkable and his college stats were misleading.
this doesn't make sense.

if he didn't come out, he might have done better. Dude had the "oh shyt I came out so I've got all this extra press" hype and he probably couldn't handle it
