When Wilbon pulled a @Z-Bo's Deep Thoughts on LeBatard's show and said "Danny clearly you haven't read it"

analytics is used to keep cacs in the head coach/management side of basketball
In baseball it means a lot but in basketball that shyt is minimal and over fukking rated
He didn't generalize black people as either of those thingsThis article in which he attempts to generalize black americans as ignorant or incapable of grasping analytics.
His previous article where he tried to claim Sean Taylor deserved to die because he was troubled and most likely had it coming. Even though Sean Taylor had no history of criminal behavior, crew up in a stable family, not on the street, and etc.
His body of work is nothing more than a c00n used to spread white liberal agenda in talking down about blacks.
It's this kind of arrogant bytchmade attitude that a lot of geeks who live/die by analytics have that turns people off. I don't think that anyone hates analytics. People hate feminine attitudes like yours when it comes to analytics. Here we have a story that includes NBA players themselves explaining why they don't live/die by analytics and why that can be problematic, yet that doesn't stop you from running in here being all bytchmade and dismissive. The disconnect is that everyone values and uses analytics. The only difference is some people prefer to do it in their head and some people prefer to use the hard numbers.
This is the root of what superstition comes from. We try to find correlations between inputs and outputs. Sometimes they are entirely false and the more we value perception over reality, the more we find ourselves doing things that don't actually work.
Look how often we kill the coach who runs up the middle every time on 3rd and 1, or punts every time from 4th and inches from midfield. The successful coaches go away from the conventional wisdom because they know from analytics what actually works.
When people say "I hate analytics" they are really saying "The unbiased data doesn't support my hunches and gut feelings so I reject it" Ironically, they are using analytics to come to that conclusion.

He said black people don't care about analytics when it comes to discussing sports
On my word B. If I ever see this dude it's one hitter quitter time.
Edit:
Could somebody just kill this guy already?
you might have the feds at your door for this one.Impossible. Your jaw is on notice too.Low-key this thread is proving what he's saying as accurate.
except they do? and miss me with the "people might talk about it on message boards but you dont hear it in every day discussions" i hear discussions in sports books all the time that reference shyt that wilbon would consider advanced stats, since he thinks stuff like points per possession and whip are extra advancedHe didn't generalize black people as either of those things
He said black people don't care about analytics when it comes to discussing sports
Saying black people don't care about analytics is a generalization kid.
You do understand that right?
Also you can look at any in depth discussion on this very board and see it isn't true, we use stats on here and other boards in discussions about sports. I know for a fact in football and basketball, it just isn't the be all end all but it is always brought up.
No one is discussing Raps vs Cavs and talking about how many points per possession the Raptors are scoring when Kyrie is on the court vs Offexcept they do? and miss me with the "people might talk about it on message boards but you dont hear it in every day discussions" i hear discussions in sports books all the time that reference shyt that wilbon would consider advanced stats, since he thinks stuff like points per possession and whip are extra advanced
its not always referenced as "points per possession" its as simple a concept as someone discussing a team scoring more points per game because they play at a quicker pace. its literally as simple as that. thats "advanced discussion" according to wilbon for an entire race of people when talking sportsNo one is discussing Raps vs Cavs and talking about how many points per possession the Raptors are scoring when Kyrie is on the court vs Off
It's also an incredibly lame way to talk in real life and more over it doesn't make the entertainment valet better
