I'd like to see online play across all platforms but I feel the same way. Right now this sounds to me like some fine print political speak again. They've mentioned their competition specifically before. Why be vague now? Maybe because they figure this will never happen so they just throw it out there as an idea so it can look like it never came through because Sony blocked it. Again, I would definitely like to see this happened and have mentioned before in other threads that it doesn't make sense for consoles to no play with each other online.

Rocket league is already confirmed to be cross platform between consoles.

Still shows that the capability is there. I guess it's just up to devs and Sony/Nintendo right now.

im sorry i just never saw a console managed like this before. everything MS do is based of hope man. The Cloud, Dx12, BC, & now Cross Platform. They just keep speaking on shyt and half-assing it.

So making big investments on the future and enabling features that people requested= Hope, and half assing?

I'm not saying it's not possible. And I'm not saying I don't want it. I'm just saying I think you guys are a little too soon. Its not like MS can announce something for PS4 and they purposely made their statement vague. Every article being posted that claims this to be an official cross platform announcement is taking the MS statement and adding their own words to it. I'm just saying, the statement from MS wasn't specific and most times there's a reason for that. I would be getting jiggy with the rest of you if the article read "MS and Sony announce cross platform play".

This is something that just needs to happen for healthier MP experiences over all. Screw MS or Sony BS.


Having a huge pool of players to game with via pc/ps4/xb1 would be amazing.

1st party games are a different story, but these multi plat games need to let this happen.

At this point, there's very little difference between the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. But there was one key differentiating point. Xbox gamers could only play with Xbox and PC players as Microsoft was restricting access to the multiplayer component. Microsoft just announced that game developers can now create cross-platform multiplayer modes that work with other consoles and operating systems.

So it means that the next Call of Duty or FIFA could feature a multiplayer mode that works with both Xbox and Playstation gamers. It just depends on developers now.

It's up to the developers and Sony now

so pretty much the Xbox one is in beta. Because none that shyt MS been touting is fully fleshed out at all breh. Hell if u going to drop a bomb like this. At least have backing already in advance from the Activison, EA, Take 2 & hell the most important one of all SONY. Thats all im saying.
