That might be true for most studios except for Bethesda and Activision/Blizzard. That would be financial suicide for a division that's already struggling. A majority of their sales now are due to PlayStation users purchasing their games. But we were also saying this very same thing before they acquired both of those companies. They have no one to blame but themselves.

What i will say.

What Phil missed on was leveraging the xbox platforms for exclusive timing/content/promotions that would tie the games to xbox hardware and/or make xbox the first/best place to play microsoft games.

He made some stupid promise a while back that he didn’t like those kind of promotions and that xbox would never do them.

So he tied his own hands once xbox got all these IP, even tho it makes sense monetarily to keep releasing the games on multiple platforms, he couldn’t even leverage the IP to make xbox consoles standout.

I think if anything that will change.

There will be exclusive DLC, or demos, betas, early access etc. On xbox platforms for microsoft games.

I think that’s a happy medium where xbox fans will feel taken care of and microsoft isn’t leaving all that money on the table by totally excluding other platforms.
