I aint a m$ stan so :stopitslime:
just telling facts.... they already have a subsidized xbox 360 with live... they gon do the same next gen... and with xbox being always online bundling wit a cable susbription makes sense :manny:

*bookmarks thread *
:dwillhuh: live is their own product. there's like 10+ cable internet providers in NA alone, how would they execute this? (not trying to be a douche, but it doesnt seem feasible.)

I told my boy I'm getting ps4 & he said get both because the new Xbox can replace your cable box and it has a built in DVR. So maybe it does warrant the extra $100 & you get kinect.

Your boy lied to you bruh.... you still need your box (for the HDMI pass through feature) and it doesn't have a DVR.

who is saying its every cable provider... :dwillhuh:
it could just be "sign up for verizon internet for x amount of years and get an xbox for $x"..

why does live being their own product have to do with anything... they already offer a cheaper xbox with live contract
Microsoft expands subsidized Xbox 360 offer to 250GB model, from $99

It's easy to negotiate a deal with Xbox live for a subsidy, because they're just negotiating with themselves, so all the money stays in house (since the real point was to get more people into the Live ecosystem).

For ISPs/cable providers, it will be more complicated, because they might actually want to get a cut, not to mention that they would be helping consumers get something that at any point could potentially position itself as a cable replacement.

True, plus cable providers are gonna want to rent out their own equipment

xbox will end up being 'cheaper' cause they eventually will bundle it with cable/internet subscriptions and/or subsidized w/xbox live

Ehhh, the fact that MS is trying to get others to use the XB1 as the cable box and not their shyt will not go over well with cable providers fam. Granted, you still need the cable box, but they can see that MS is ultimately trying to phase out the cable box and they won't have that shyt.
