They got the key inputs up like a Street Fighter match :mjlol:

As a data engineer, I'm not glorifying this "task". I hate dealing with human created/edited excel. shyt, I hate when I have to create an excel for my data pipelines.

I want to work with automated systems. If we gotta consume files, then have it generated by software. If it needs user input, please also use software. Excel can't doesn't enforce shyt, so when my data pipeline fails because Chuck put "Chicken soup" in the "Price" column, and the departments reports don't get updated or has the wrong values, I have to deal with Chuck's manager complaining about the report and then spend 4-8 hours troubleshooting just for Chuck to slack the group saying "Oh, silly me 😁". fukk off and use a real data entry platform :pacspit:. Preferably in a database where field types can be enforced

I feel that lol. We still using Excel as a data dictionary for large datasets that project participants (Doctor Dumbass, Nurse Numbnuts and whoever) can put anything in the Excel file, whether normalized or not, or cleansed or not, and then I gotta go play Finding Waldo wit the table columns and shyt in our database we use to map to whatever the fukk it is they giving us instead of just being straightforward and making my life easier smh

Tried getting into this in 2006. Learned a lot. The other side of the hill is tough.
