Microsoft has a problem: nobody wants to buy or use its shoddy AI products (plus more layoffs incoming)

Every day, week, year yall get on here and say how terrible microsoft is, how they fail at everything, how they are not “cool” and everybody hates them.

Every day, week, year Microsoft continues to grow and exist as one of the most valuable and profitable companies on earth.

Maybe……just maybe….your cac tweet fueled perspective isn’t grounded in reality…. :jbhmm:

Microsoft is growing Xbox is shrinking

Businesses don’t know whose going to win the AI race and if it will actually live up to its promises.

Most companies are still in a wait and see mode.
This doesn’t even include issues with having properly structured data already, regulatory reqs, among other things that slow AI adoption.

As far as copilot, it’s vastly different from how it operates from product to product within the o365 suite.

As someone who uses it on the daily for work its pure garbage in office 365. Just this my girl was asking what happened to copilot in Word for Cloud.

If its not for what did i miss or taking notes ChatGPT is just better.

XBox isn't its own division, its part of gaming content and services.

And those revenues aren't the issue, the EBIT is the one. They don't publish it specifically for that division only the company as a whole.
I don't think most publicly traded companies give you that level of breakdown on a single division. People here might want such a thing for console war purposes but someone investing in a company as a whole isn't typically looking for a division by division breakdown of how profitable each division is or isn't.

Some do, but you not wrong.

Sony does for their Game and Network Services division (aka Playstation).

both are multi billion dollar companies, MS of course is a trillion

Stay in your lane breh. No one said Sony is bigger than Microsoft.
The convo was about how a company like Microsoft would report financials.

You used a company that is nowhere near as large/successful as microsoft as your comparison.

Why not use one of the other top 10/15/30 companies for your comparison?

There over 100 companies between Sony and Microsoft.

They will obviously have very different behavior when it comes to talking about financials.

Sony cult some wild shyt
