Video game writing and sony stan’s are dumb case number 752,233,001.

They didn’t “expect” 73%

73% was the upper limit tied to exec bonuses. An exorbitant number they knew probably wouldn’t be hit.

They still received bonuses for the 28% which is a very respectable growth number for a subscription service.

Don’t understand WTF you are even talking about brehs:mjlol:

That’s for bonuses.

Why would a company pay a “bonus” for expected results?

“Bonus” literally means “something welcome and often unexpected that accompanies and enhances something that is itself good:”

28% growth is good. If they get 28% growth every year, gamepass will out revenue the rest of the gaming market in just a couple years.

That’s not how Microsoft works as a company. If a number or percentage is in your growth target, that is your expected capability.

Your bonus is a range depending on your performance. Low to Standard performance = standard bonus e.g. what the article is about.

That is a failed target. Multiple of these will become an internal issue.

It’ll be the one set by themselves or Satya as realistic in their yearly goals.

Yearly goals do no have random targets sets in them. Whatever is in the performance targets will be realistically tied to their bonuses and their general work career.

Never said it was Random.

I said presenting it as some “expected” number that microsoft is disappointed to not have hit is just wrong.

Read the filing, they were happy with xbox and gamepass growth. They still received about 60% of their bonus that was tied to gamepass.

The 73% growth number was the upper limit for what bonus they could receive.

Some of y'all never have been in a position to get performance bonuses or have had those goals.

Performance goals are usually higher than average, achievable but difficult usually.

Most performance goals are missed. Microsoft hitting y'all with the okie doke and the news cycle and Stan's eating it up.

"Dang we missed our Performance goal"
