Man, that Surface Studio looks insane. I might have to walk into a best buy just to play with it :wow:

That's simply not good enough man.

It's actually "decent", but I mobile GPUs are on their way out. It's either integrated or desktop class at this point.

It's going to be interesting to see how Apple responds to this.

Even at the $3K price point this is a huge win for MS to win over some of the "creatives" who tend to lean Apple for their hardware. iPad sales are down, they've delayed the airbuds - unless there is something huge at the hardware showcase, 2017 might be the year of MS.

Ive had a Surface Pro 4 since its launch last year and it was full of bugs and ran like shyt. After numerous updates, its been pretty sweet to use for the past few months.

Moral of the story: Never buy a brand new Microsoft product at launch. Wait at least 3-4 months before copping to reduce likely hood of frustration.

The outer limits
The only GPU worth getting out of the three is the 980M (and that's even outdated). But shyt costs $4,199.00.

My monster PC with 22 teraflops, 6-core processor, etc. cost only $800 more than that. And best believe my PC is MILES ahead of surface studio.

I sometimes read posts without looking at the posters name, but as soon as you mentioned 22 teraflops I knew it was you:lolbron:

Nope, my pc is the highest of the high (well...almost [I didn't get a 10-core processor, but whatever....that's not for gamers anyway]) :umad:

Edit: I have a Surface book for my laptop, so I know directly :umad:

from start to finish? Doesn't your computer have that start up screen where it allows you to go in the bios? then it detects the drives then starts loading windows? or is that just :flabbynsick: H/W :lupe:....My surface books gets to the PW screen in 5 seconds (give or take a second)from pressing power

From a cold boot?

Cold boots are always longer. From a sleep to power on, my surface book and PC are about the same. From a cold boot, you're right, my surface book loads up faster (I got 2 hdds and an ssd though on my desktop, plus a strong overclock [which takes like 5 seconds more to post])
