More than one man, but Mattrick was the one that got the brunt of it.

Yusef Mehdi (who is still at Microsoft) should have absorbed more of the blame, but he has done well in staying in the shadows while Spencer fixed the mess they created.

They usually tend to exceed what it even goes for used most of the time. It's stupid, but that's how it goes. For a stretch there, buying an XBOX 360 and then taking it in to trade a few days later literally netted you an extra $80 for renting the 360 and using it to upgrade to an xbox one/PS4.

I can't remember exactly the last time they offered it, but they were still offering $150 for 360/PS3 trades towards an XBOX ONE/PS4 earlier this year. $250 if you want to swap from PS4/XBOX ONE. At that time I believe Gamestop was only giving $30-$40 for a PS3/XBOX 360 when trading it straight up.

You guys are just looking at the surface, Microsoft WANTS people to move up to the next platform and will cut a deal with gamestop/best buy and others to make sure that players get fair value. Microsoft keeps the gamers happy that want to move up and gamestop/best buy get a sale...win win.

These Xbox's and PS have a HUGE aftermarket. My brother who lives in Thailand came last month and took one of my old Xbox 360's and some old piff. I asked him why he just didn't want to buy one and he said in Thailand Xbox 360's sell for nearly $500/pop. Xbox Ones sell for like $800.

nikkas in America are spoiled rotten when it comes to gaming tech prices.

It will be even easier for GameStop/Best Buy to offer a deal because the PS4 has significantly more demand.

Unloading an xbox now is basically asking for an L. Luckily for me I know how to dump and move on to other systems by putting together bundles. It's a STRUGGLE right now to get $200 for an xbox one.

The way to maximize your return right now on an xbox one is to split it up. Console Only, Controller Only and Power Brick only...maybe nets you $190 or so after fees.
