based on early reviews it’s sounding like this is Aster’s “Us” compared to Hereditary which was his “Get Out”

Spooky that you mentioned that. I was about to ask about this movie earlier today in here. I downloaded it a couple weeks back and its been on my list of movies to watch for awhile. I only watched the introduction but for some reason got a similar vibe to what I've seen from Aster.Any of y'all down for some sangria?

And I’m on VRV, watching Road Runner cartoons. I need some silly shyt.
clearly the cult worships a sun God (goes by many names in many cultures but let's settle on aset) and they also worship pan the Goat God, as you noticed in that line of cattle and goat (or sheep) only one was blaclk! He crossed across the screen casually as most veiwers who don't know the craft may see him but not think of anything, when really he was signalling the group's doom, because he was their God, he was "the black one" in that story the lady was singing in the dancing competition who leads the youth into the Forrest (this is a common story that describes how pan, aka the pied Piper) lures youth into the Forrest to fornicate and sacrifice them. They also chose the Sidney's character to be their mother goddess, who is also the goddess of destruction and chaos (she's the perfect candidate, that's what the murder of her family at the begining symbolized, that her mind was in perpetual chaos) that's why she decides the last sacrifice and it seems at the end you can't tell if she's crying cause she regrets what she did or if she can't help but be crazy.

Sounds really close to Ishtar
Which is also considered a mother goddess
Like the one the lead female character became
(Cause Easter comes from Ishtar and she was propped up in a crown and garb of flowers of which we associate with Easter cause that's in spring).
Adds an extra layer to the movie, looking too deep into it but it's something interesting to consider

If you into artsy, symbolic ass thrillers then you would love this. But for me?...
I was with them during the first half...then that looooong ass second half happened
Then the 3rd half 
It was white problems...
And somebody comparing the reaction to this the same way certain folks had for “Us” is pretty accurate.
Oh boy wrote this movie while going through a break up...this dude has a weird mind
Same guy who made “Something Strange With The Johnson’s” and “Hereditary.”
His mind is just....different.

With “US” a buncha smart dumb folks were trying to make sense of dumb stuff in the movie on some fake deep stuff, with this one folks are pretty much just like “WTF did I watch” lol
