Neither, I have no clue and was genuinely asking... :manny:

I think the fallacy of composition you made when you insinuated what was true of this one facility, was a reflection of the private sector as a whole, is where you lost me. Then you went on to say the dept. of health merely suggest guidelines, another point I disagree with.

I'm saying we should hold the body that sets and enforces the rules accountable as well(more so imo), and your saying they aren't accountable.

When you can explain what they're accountable for, you'll understand why your belief makes no sense.

LOL - this country needs change. With the congress divided that wasn't going to happen. They will now be able to hopefully make some changes (especially at local levels) to create growth. Obama has us on the right path and the infastrature is there. I think having some differences at the state levels will really put the conservative policies to a test...for example , despite the poor story above regarding the Kansas Gov Sam Brownback - is ideas of reducing income tax and increasing state sales tax is a great move to see if allowing citizens to keep more of their purchasing power = a better economy. Although we know theoretically this policy is really focused on the rich and probably hurts the poor - lets see it in action.

Do you honestly believe now that they control congress and senate they will get anything meaningfully accomplished? Republican social and economic policies don't impress me.
Brownback's idea will disproportionately negatively effect the poor and middle class. Reducing the income tax doesn't spur growth that's a myth we've seen in action for sometime now.

this has repeatedly shown to hurt lower and middle income.

it's not athat cut in dry

1. it depends on the rates of reductions - so obviously you're be very broad and general
2. it hurts lower income, because a lot of them don't pay income taxes anyway - so it ends up being an increase in sales taxes
3. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying let them do what they say and lets see - there are levels to this shyt and if they do it correctly you can potentially have growth.

there's an old economic concept...if you want to tax the rich -you tax property....if you want to tax the poor - you raise sales taxes

sales tax is the closest thing to an equal / flat tax - everyone has to purchase goods and services

Timmy gets 100 dollars a week in allowance

Maggie gets 5 dollars a week in allowance

One carton of milk costs 80 cents. Let's say the sales tax comes out to 20 cents.

Who does the flat tax have a bigger impact on when it comes to buying necessities as relative to allowance?

If you want, I can draw the problem with crayons.
