Inafune may have ruined his reputation with this one. Fact of the matter is, this game needed to be at least as good as Megaman X6, fact of the matter is it's worse than any of the 2.5D Mega Man games. The animation is so-so, the effects suck, and the gameplay mechanic, albiet creative is rather dull and repetitive. If you can't even properly crib off your own source material, then that says a lot. It seems like Capcom was ultimately right to dump him and to some extent the Megaman franchise.

hmmm. I really liked Maverick Hunter X on the PSP. I think they could've updated it and kept it interesting instead of dropping all those retro collections. Yeah I thought it would at least be up to par with the X series.

Expect a good game from a guy who announced another Kickstarter for an anime/cartoon tie-in before the game had even finished development and then launched another kickstarter for another game (Red Ash) which basically was just him saying 'You gave us money before, now you can give us money again!' and it's clear that famous quote about Inafune being a businessman and not a creator is accurate as fukk.

If this game came out without the kickstarter and anime fan ad, I bet it would've been received better with scores of 7 at the least

Game's fun as hell. Feels as janky and satisfying as MM1.

I hope they came make a sequel since the game was paid in full from the KS.
