Mainly because I feel like they crowned it to him before he even played. Secondly because I'd put Rosario and Miley above him. Maybe Frazier, but he's really cooled down and Harper has come on as of late.
Because Miley and Frazier had better years.

Miley has a case...but Frazier definitely didn't have a better year. Maybe a comparable year...but Bryce is 19. And to me that makes a difference in this award.
The ROY award doesn't have the same guidelines as MVP. I'll give a 19-year old kid a boost over a 27-year old like Frazier.
Harper had a pretty damn good year though...it's not like it was all hype.
And look, I love Wilin Rosario....but nah. Dude is a DISASTER behind the plate and even with a 2nd half improvement, still only got his OBP up to .313. His power is

One of the greatest seasons for a teenager or not (which I'll admit is amazing, def. not knocking him), if he wasn't the BEST rookie this year then I wouldn't give him the award.
Wilin Rosario: 28 homeruns in 116 games (as opposed to Bryce's 22 in 138), while playing catcher.
