Frank only won that grammy because he came out as gay. I've always felt that way.Being/supporting gay was popular back then. It was used to get good publicity, just like supporting "feminism" now is used to get good publicity. Transgender is next.

Miguel is a better performer, has a stronger voice and much wider vocal range, and his songs are just better. I hope Miguel eventually wins the grammy that was stolen from him. I hope him and Jcole do another song together. I love when they collaborate.

The Grammy's literally made up a new category that year just so Ocean would win an award

:mindblown:

I think Miguel is vastly superior vocally and as a performer.:ehh:

But to me hearing songs like Pyramids, Frank seems like a better songwriter and more artistic. I really dug the production on his last album. Lost is :wow:.

:manny:

Artistic is debatable. Miguel takes a lot of risks with his music and its not like the gap between them artistically is that big if there even is one. Frank's abstractness with a lot of his concepts and songs might edge out Miguel a bit but the production is on the same plane. IMO Frank Ocean just trumps Miguel lyrically and is a better hitmaker. And Miguel also has a tendency to be a little corny and contrived with some of his messages

frank ocean was a pon for the gay agenda.

dude was/is decent at best, but the establishment made it seem as if he was the next global icon.

This is so fukking flawed its ridiculous.

F.O. could NEVER write Adorn or any of the multitude of timeless songs Miguel has introduced.

Look at F.O's lyrics...its an exercise in being vague and daft...its almost like a high school english student was given a poetry project

Miguel timeless...do you ever stop and wonder why you're the worst poster on the board?

Channel Orange is one of the best, if not the best album of the past 5 years. And the album he's about to drop is about to be a classic too.

Name 3 songs off that 17 track album

Miguel has CLASSICS out here.

Frank Ocean has NONE. MAYBE "do you think about me"

Frank Ocean > Miguel.

My argument? Frank has at least 5 great songs: "Strawberry Swing", "We All Try", "Songs for Women", "Swim Good" and "Novacane."

Miguel has two, and from what I've heard, no more than two: "Sure Thing" and "Adorn." (which honestly, both records aren't quite as interesting/pleasing to the ear as the first two Ocean tracks I mentioned)

tho funny enough, they both worked with Happy Perez on their best songs.
