This album is hit or miss for me so far. Gonna give it some more play this weekend, before making a final verdict. but right now only feeling half of it, sky walker of course, come through and chill (tho I played this out awhile ago when salaam remi dropped it), annointed, pineapple skies, and criminal.

He doesn't really aim to surprise me anymore. Everything he drops is just cool and not saying cool is bad but I want him to make something wow me.

Also Skywalker should've been bigger but it didn't catch on.:francis:
Its creeping up the charts.

Its in the 50s now.

RNB takes longer to chart than other genres.

On "Banana Clip" that man & his metaphors. R&B King home :wowg2g:

Edit: let me spin the rest of this, repeat it for hours like "skywalker" later

I still prefer Wildheart and KD over War & Leisure artistically, but War & Leisure is still great in its own right. I can see it growing on me with repeated listens, and I love how the album is 12 songs too. Not too long, not too short, just the perfect length.
While I enjoy the album, I think Miguel’s music might be sounding the same. I would like for him to expand on his sound a bit and do something left field with the next project.

Sparking blunts in the shade.
I bought it and it didn’t blow me away. There are a few songs I love, but overall it’s just “eh” to me. I’m going to run through it a couple more times, hopefully it grows on me.

Either way Miguel is still my current favorite rnb cat.

On first listen, not impressed.

This is coming from a die hard fan. Skywalker sounds the best, but I've played the fukk out of that song already.

Overall unimpressive, especially when compared to 6lack and Chris Brown's efforts.

I hope Miguel isn't falling off...

Go listen to those 45 tracks breh
I actually enjoy the original version of the song with no rap verse, just Miguel. Nothing against Cole, just think a rapper was needed on it..
Rappers are never needed on R&B songs. It's always so unnecessary. The version of Skywalker he did on Colbert and the BBC1 lounge without Travis Scott were way better.
