I remember on Facebook reading about how, during the shutdown, he made some rhetorical comments about SNAP, saying that he was glad the program was being cut, claiming it'd help people make healthier eating decisions, which is false since cutting funds isn't going to force people to eat healthy, it'll actually cause people to seek unhealthier foods since it's cheaper.

Secondly, there's no proof that people who receive SNAP are any more unhealthy than people who pay for groceries with money; it's just conservative babble in trying to dictate and have control over someone. Generally speaking, if people's health were such a big concern, why not advocate for outlawing junk food in the United States altogether, y'know, prohibition-era style?

'Cause it's bullshyt, you don't care about people's health, rather it's about wanting to feel like you have control over those you look down on, kinda like a master/slave dynamic :mjpls: , in which one believes another isn't deserving of having and/or treating themselves to something you feel is only for certain people to enjoy, which in this case, it happens to be junk food.

Being happy a loved one is home from prison is “destructive behavior “?
You’re acting like celebrating someone’s release is automatically noble, while ignoring why they were in prison to begin with. Taking a life, pushing drugs that wreck a neighborhood, or making everyday people live in fear isn’t some minor misstep. So yes, being openly thrilled about their return without acknowledging the damage they caused can look pretty fukkin idiotic. If anything’s “destructive,” it’s pretending their actions didn’t devastate real families and real communities.
