I would not have gone this route if I was the Steelers but a bad hire is Josh McDaniels. This isn’t that. Agreed?
I mean we are talking apples and oranges here. To me, not upgrading your HC is a bad hire. Getting the same damn coach that walked is bad. Sure they could of hired worse but why not go for a wild card hire like a young coordinator? U literally hired the same guy with the same damn name :pachaha:

Tomlin wasn’t a bad coach. His time just ran its course in Pitt. Sometimes you just need a new voice in the room.

All those years of Steelers fans wishing for Tomlin to go are gonna wish they had him next season.

I don't know what happened to Mike McCarthy. He used to be a good head coach during those early Aaron Rodgers years in Green Bay, but towards the end of that stint and heading into Dallas, he comes across as a “yes man,” you know, the kind of coach that gets yelled at by the owners.

I always felt like Jerry Jones was bytch slapping his ass in the locker room. I don't know, he just seems like a pushover and easily taken advantage of by upper management :yeshrug:.

This might be the worst hire so far. You can sell me on Saleh bringing in a legit OC (Daboll) to help Ward, you could point to DeMeco's success and convince me something similar can happen in Tennessee. But McCarthy to the Steelers is just stupid. They already fired a guy who constantly delivered mediocre products, now you hire the master of that shyt? With no QB. An older coach who is going to feel like he has to win now and keeps the franchise on the treadmill of reaching for vet QBs instead of doing what's right: tank, trade assets, draft a QB and rebuild.
