"See, nikka first was used back in the Deep South
Falling out between the dome of the white man's mouth
It means that we will never grow, you know the word dummy
Other nikkas in the community think it's crummy
But I don't, neither does the youth cause we
Em-brace adversity it goes right with the race
And being that we use it as a term of endearment
nikkas start to bug to the dome is where the fear went
Now the little shorties say it all of the time
And a whole bunch of nikkas throw the word in they rhyme
Yo I start to flinch, as I try not to say it
But my lips is like the oowop as I start to spray it
My lips is like a oowop as I start to spray it
My lips is like a oowop as I start to spray the ..

Sucka nikka, nikka nikka
I throw the sucka in the front for the ones that front
The sucka nikkas, nikka nikka
I throw the sucka in the front for the ones that front
The sucka nikkas, nikka nikka "

Mike basically made Kenan's point for him.

Mike's whole connection to the word is clearly out of self-loathing.

It's high key frustrating that we can be both a brand obsessed people but then turn and say words and connotation don't matter. Words are powerful. "nikka shyt", "nikkas being nikkas", "nikkadom", all this shyt is said as jokes and I'm just like :gucci:. Can you turn your self-loathing down?

The Nword is a literal "curse" to black people. We were tricked and brainwashed into calling ourselves that word via mass media (blaxploitation films, comedians and ultimately rap music). None of you made a conscious decision to start using that word.....the decision was made for you by the powers that be who understand how powerful words are. Words are literal spells.

The biggest affect that word has had on blacks is that it ultimately devalues black people.....in the eyes of black people. That word keeps black people viewing themselves and each other as "less than" on a subconscious level. "N1ggaz" are less than dogs and nobody respects a "n1gga" in society.

Also, there's an extremely negative and hateful energy behind that word. That word mainly comes out when we're upset with each other. Most of you who use it don't even realize that you sound like a KKKLANSMEN when you use it :wow:

I threw that word away years ago. It disgust me now. Honestly, I hate having to read it constantly here on the Coli.

At this point, BY DEFAULT I don't trust any black person who can't talk without using that word. I assume that person has little to no racial pride in being black. I've found that most black people who use that word have a certain disdain towards black people and it manifests itself via that word.

He or she may be black as far as skin, but mentally we're 2 completely different people.

Show me a black person who doesn't use that word and I'll show you a black person who more than likely has a high sense of racial pride
Rep. Best post I've seen on here in a while.
