A lot of ppl won’t point this out.
His son doesn’t want to date girls who act like his sister. Hmmmm

How is IMT “raising” his daughter?? Why is his Black daughter behaving in a way that is possibly masculine/less feminine than the girls around them? That’s not a Black thing, per sè, but a cultural or household thing. Is she being influenced by social media/entertainment? Or is this a household thing? She doesn’t have feminine influences in her household? Maybe there aren’t enough girls who look like her who she can connect with.

As you stated- Should’ve had his kids around other rich Black folks.

Good questions..

I don't know much about IMT's family life. I need to know if he even raised his kids? If so, at what capacity did he instill morals, values and cultural/racial pride in his kids?

My guess is that IMT raised them like any normal parent. Seems like he didn't really push the importance of dating and marrying Blk ppl.

My other assumption is that he may have thought that his kids would "naturally" gravitate towards other Blk kids like he did.

Well..

I guess that didn't happen. Does he live in Arizona? If so, he probably live in Scottsdale or some posh neighborhood wherever he lives.

Not mad at him. I really understand and I guess deep down, I would feel the same way as him.

But, I am also an open minded person. Today, if I was IMT who had kids, I would be happy that all of my kids were healthy, well raised, educated, well mannered and may have a shot to live a good life.

If he had kids with a major disability or who had autism or may be gay versus having heterosexual kids who is open to dating a wide spectrum of ppl, what would he choose?

He gotta pick his poison and accept that regardless of who his kids deal with, that those ppl will treat his kids right and do right by them.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying, I’m not saying it’s the ONLY reason people date out. I’m saying it’s a reason, and most likely what Mike Tyson’s kids experience. Yeah it just happens also, but usually theres an underlying psychology that lead them there. White women can be just as mean and aggressive as black women, it just shows up a little different. Ask the divorced white brehs. Lol
I'm not saying white women can't be mean. Of course they can.

However, no woman has been tagged with the 'masculine/mannish' attribute more than the black women. Let's not be blind here.

To come back to Tyson's kids, if only one of them dated white, I could've accepted your explaination, but all of them? To me, it has more to do with internalized racism/sterotypes against black women than a "natural" tendency to date out because your own women are mean to you

Black women definitely do get that tag more than others. Reminds me of people complaining about black on black crime when in reality, all races kill their own race more than anyone else does.

And to your point about mikes kids, who is to say the 2 things aren’t tied together? What exactly do they hate about their own kind? They see white people as nicer and more pure.

Unfortunately, Blk ppl collectively get tagged a with a lot of negative stereotypes. Not just Blk women in particular.

But, one thing I missed about KS is when he used to tell Blk women that Blk ppl need to gain back controlling their own ethnic image.

Other groups control their own ethnic image and some severely push back on those who speak ill of their ppl..

As for IMT's 7 kids all dating out, that's interesting!! Were they all raised under his roof?

I'm telling you that when you reach a certain income bracket, it opens up a whole new world. You start dealing with a different type of ppl. You go places with a certain type of ppl.

So, seems like all of his kids linked up with ppl in their lane who more than likely don't look like them.

Lastly, when will Blk ppl admit that we politic on each other like no other despite all the bs that we collectively have to endure in our society.

Our social politics need to change so Blk ppl can continue on with promoting and maintaining cultural pride, love, marriage, economics, etc..

That's true, but SEVEN kids and 0 black dating?

I've seen rich/cosmopolitan black families with a LOT of IR dating /marriages, but you had at least certain elements marrying black. The Tyson situation is more a case of AVOIDING black love interest than just of being around non black. I can be wrong, but I can't put this level of IR dating in a family on the environment only.

Like what was said, a lot has to do with environment & not being around people that look like them. Didn't LeBron sons say damn near the same things Mike's kids said?

I will share this with you.

This isn't personal against you, but one problem I see with Blk ppl is when it comes to IR relationships, Blk ppl who date out always get accused of having issues with their own kind or having self hatred as a main reason why they date/marry out.

But..

What isn't talked about is that many times, some Blk ppl are isolated, shunned, roasted, rejected for acting a certain way, talking a certain way, being a square, acting white, etc. by other Blk ppl.

So, these ppl end up befriending other ppl who accept them as they are. They can be themselves, be corny, like certain hobbies, etc.

So, when in that situation, what do you expect to happen?

In essence, if a Blk guy or woman never got play from their own, but a non-Blk showed them interest, perhaps because that same non-Blk experienced the same thing from their ppl, then they gonna hook up.

The aforementioned isn't to say that this is the case all the time, but I can say from observation and personal experience that it is one reason why Blk ppl may date out.

Before you respond, please keep an open mind and understand that everyone has a unique social experience. Not everyone is strong enough to be resilient when facing obstacles.

Not everyone can handle ridicule, roasting and rejection. Ppl want to win! Ppl want to be accepted. Ppl want to get laid. Ppl are human.

Blk ppl, especially in the US, has a roasting culture. It's designed to toughen you up. Like a form of hazing. Not everyone can handle that.

Not trying to make any excuses because I don't know anything about IMT's kids. I'm just telling you that ppl simply gravitate to ppl who rock with them.

They ain't tripping off of the racial politics because their social circle is diverse, inclusive, etc.

I don't attack people in IR. I'm not even attacking Mike's kids. I'm just surprised.

I still find it ANORMAL (not bad or immoral, but anormal) that an entire family of seven will date out.

I mean, their pops himself seems flabbergasted...

I didn't watch but maybe he should have a sit down with his children individually and talk to them about it, then have a group discussion with them about it. I don't have any evidence to support that they like what they like because of him. But that's really the only way he's going to get those answers.
