I agree with your initial point, that not all "dog lovers" are CACs.

However, I think it would be shortsighted not to acknowledge that a large percentage of people lashing out against him are doing so more from a race-related standpoint than an "animal-loving" one, even if they're doing so "in the name of dogs". It just so happens that that's the vehicle they have with which to attack him, similar to how people still attack Kobe for the rape allegations (even though they ultimately proved to be untrue) or were initially attacking Chris Brown for beating up Rihanna (I say "initially" because dude is just bringing it on himself at this point).

I don't think it's short sided at all. I think it's just to convenient for folks in here to chalk this shyt up to some white man vs us shyt when it's not that at all. Give me an example of a popular white athlete/celebrity that has engaged in dog fighting and has occurred little to no backlash? It is during that time when the outrage on this board yelling "cac this, cac that" would be justified but that's not the case. No white celeb/athlete has ever been in a situation like Vick so how can anyone speak to any kind of preferential treatment a white person in Vicks shoes would receive or how the treatment Vick received is race related at all is crazy to me.

in my opinion dude shouldve never been imprisoned, fined perhaps, but imprisoned??!! When it took weeks and weeks for George Zimmerman to be arrested for the harrasment and MURDER of an unarmed black youth, it took widespreaad outrage for him to be arrested, but we're STILL talking about Mick Vick who spent 22 months in prison, lost a fortune as well as his prime, and cant even own a dog, for fighting with ANIMALS!!??!
